Hurricanes ride a huge defensive effort to hold off the Golden Knights 20-14.

Miami overcomes sloppy special teams, and a struggling offense to win as the defense holds Central Florida to just 78 total yards on offense. The Knights get both scores on returns, an INT return and Joe Burnett's 91-yard KO return.

The Hurricanes manage just 216 yards on offense, but Graig Cooper does carry a career-high 23 times for 90 yards and 1 TD. Cooper's 5-yard TD run in the 4th quarter opens a 20-7 lead and allows Miami to weather's Burnett's return and UCF's late rally attempts.
