Hokies battle back twice to beat the Wolfpack 25-24 for their 1st bowl victory.

Virginia Tech wins it on Chris Kinzer's 40-yard FG at the gun. The Hokies had converted turnovers in consecutive possessions into a pair of TDs, erasing a 21-10 deficit. Maurice Williams scored on a 3-yard run after the 1st turnover, then Erik Chapman hits Steve Johnson with a 6-yard TD pass after the 2nd, allowing Virginia Tech to take a 22-21 lead in the 4th quarter.

N.C. State, which had built its early lead on a blocked punt for a score and 2 TD passes by Erik Kramer, retook the lead on Mike Cofer's 33-yard FG w/ 7:12 remaining.

Chapman finishes 20-of-30 for 200 yards, with Eddie Hunter adding 113 yards on the ground. Kramer goes 12-of-19 for 155 yards.
