#18 Tigers overcome a shaky start to beat the Cavaliers 28-17.

Auburn survives 2 early scoring threats by Virginia, a botched snap deep in its own end and a blocked punt, Jarett Holmes barely recovers to limit the Cavaliers to a safety. But then the offense comes to life, and Dameyune Craig takes over. Craig throws for 247 yards and 2 TDs while running for another.

Craig's 17-yard TD run gets Auburn on the board, and then the defense contributes early in the 2nd half when Ryan Taylor picks Aaron Brooks and returns it 25 yards for a 14-2 lead. Brooks rebounds with a 71-yard TD pass to Terence Wilkins on the ensuing possession, but Craig and Karsten Bailey answer back. Craig connects with Bailey for a 57-yard TD pass one play after Bailey drops a likely TD.

Craig hits Bailey for a 77-yarder that makes it 28-9. Bailey catches 4 passes for 151 yards. Meanwhile, Brooks throws for 305 yards with Wilkins catching 7 for 107 yards and Germane Crowell adding 6 catches for 102 yards.
