Chargers beat the Texans 27-20.

Houston has no answers for the trio of Drew Brees, LaDainian Tomlinson and Antonio Gates. And San Diego welcomes 4 turnovers by the Texans. David Carr tosses a pair of interceptions and Domanick Davis fumbles twice.

But its Brees, Tomlinson and Gates that inflict much of the damage for the Chargers. Brees goes 17-of-24 for 209 yards and 2 TDs, giving San Diego a 17-13 lead with a 36-yard TD pass to Reche Caldwell early in the 3rd quarter, and a 19-yard TD pass to Eric Parker that breaks a 20-20 tie in the 4th quarter.

Gates catches 8 passes for 123 yards while Tomlinson rushes for 121 yards and 1 TD.
