Oakland leads through the first half, building a 9-0 lead, but Aaron Brooks hits Lamont Hall with a 4-yard TD pass just before halftime, starting a run of 21 straight points by New Orleans. Deuce McAlister scores on a pair of short runs in the 3rd quarter opening a 21-9 lead for the Saints.

Oakland pulls within 21-19, but John Carney hits a FG and Colby Bockwoldt returns a fumble 6 yards for a TD after Carlos Francis fumbles the ensuing kickoff.

Brooks goes 23-of-39 for 282 yards and 1 TD, while Kerry Collins goes 26-of-45 for 350 yards and 2 TDs.
