Kansas City wins its 4th straight game when Nick Lowery nails a 40-yard FG with 1:14 left. Detroit had just pulled even on Billy Sims' 1-yard TD run with 4:38 remaining in the game.

The Chiefs went out to a 10-0 lead in the 1st half. Lowery kick started the lead with a 52-yard FG, and then Steve Fuller hits Mike Williams with a 4-yard TD pass. The score was set up by a 53-yard completion to Horace Belton.

After Eddie Murray closed the gap with a 20-yard FG, Billy Sims scores on a 45-yard run drawing even at 10-10. Fuller's TD on a 1-yard sneak regained the lead for Kansas City.
