Dan Marino giveth, and then Dan Marino almosts taketh away, as Patriots escape with 27-24 win.

New England returns 2 Marino interceptions for TDs in the first half to build a 24-3 lead. However, Miami rallies on Marino's arm to cut it to 27-24 w/ :10 left. The Dolphins recover the ensuing onside kick, but two Marino passes fall incomplete.

Marino completes 38 of 60 passes for 389 yards. However, Larry Whigham returns one interception 60 yards for a TD, and then after Marino positions Miami for a score late in the 1st half, Jimmy Hitchcock picks off a pass and returns it 100 yards down the sideline.

Drew Bledsoe throws for 207 yards as New England knocks Miami out of first place.
