I thought I would dedicate a page on this site to my great friend Stephanie, whom I have started to dub with the nickname "Convention Queen". The reason for this nickname was that I first met her at the Horrorfind Convention in Baltimore in August of 2000. She was at Linnea Quigley's table helping her take money and stuff. We got to talking and, besides finding out her age, 14, which shocked me (she seemed so much more mature) found we had a lot in common, and decided to keep contact with each other. I found out through our contact that she attends just about every horror convention there is with her family. I thought it would be interesting to have her thoughts on the conventions she has attended, and the people she has met, and become close friends with. People like Linnea, Denice Duff, Brinke Stevens, and the list of Scream Queens goes on and on. Just below is a little background written by her, after which, I will begin posting tons of pics and writings from her about the numerous conventions she has attended:
Well, I got into all of this stuff when I was like 2 years old. I used to watch Friday The 13th, Nightmare On Elm Street, Halloween, Child's Play, and many other horror movies. That's basically how I was introduced into the horror/sci-fi genre. Also, when I was like 5 or so, I watched the series called Subspecies, and that has become my all time favorite movie series! I think that I have watched each of them about 200 times (there are 4 of them)!!!! One of my favorite actresses was starring in that series, Denice Duff. Then, in 2000, I was finally able to meet and spend one of the BEST days of my life with Denice! She asked me to be her money taker! And from then on, we have become best friends. Her daughter and her even called me! I was also able to talk to her husband Michael! He's in a band called Chalk Farm. He's really COOL!!!!! Then, I met the GREAT Miss Brinke Stevens and spent a day with her at this last year's Frightvision 2001 Convention. Brinke called me "Her Little Girl!!!!" She even had a tear in her eye! Also, Linnea and I have been emailing each other for a year now, and I first met her at the Horrorfind Convention in Baltimore. She was the NICEST, MOST SWEETEST Person that I have ever met! We took her out to eat like 5 or 6 times!!!! She called me "Her Scream Buddy" The day after the con ended she emailed me and said "I MISS YOU GUYS SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!" And I responded in the same way. Till this day I will NEVER forget meeting my favorite Scream Queens. Denice Duff, Brinke Stevens, and the unforgettable Linnea Quigley.
