The truth about The Scooby Doo Gang

Compiled by Cami and Meg

!-------!Warning!-------!

This is by no means what Joseph Barbera and William Hanna had in mind when they created Scooby and the Gang 30 years ago, just the product of two 15 year olds' overactive imaginations. Still, there is some frightening logic to what we're saying. Just watch the show and you'll see what we mean...

Case 1: Daphne and Fred(dy). a.k.a what exactly was going on in the Mystery Machine.

It was almost inevitable that Daphne, the petite, sexy, bimbo of the gang and Fred, the cute, somewhat intelligent all american boy would hook up, am I right? And although they never admitted it on the show, they were definitely a couple. Cami and I, after many hours of watching Scooby Doo while deprived of sleep, noticed some definite clues to their relationship.
When pairing off, Fred usually orders "Velma, you go with Shag and Scoob, Daphne will go with me." Once they're gone, you don't think Daphne and Fred go on an extensive search for the bad guys, do ya? Of course they don't! They're back in the Mystery Machine....doing things not suitable for young cartoon viewers. When they would open the doors to the Mystery Machine after they "did their thing" smoke would be coming out and Daphne's hair would look a little messed up. You don't think they sat in there and talked did ya? Of course not! The back of the mystery machine doesn't even have seats...there's just the floor... Of course Fred would sometimes try to confuse us and he would pair up Velma, Daphne and himself to search for the bad guys. But Velma knew what was going on and let them do their thing while she put her 165 I.Q to good use. I've been told that Daphne and Fred finally share the truth of their relationship in the New Scooby Doo Movie....

Case 2: Are Scooby and Shaggy, under the influence?
There are numerous clues to Shaggy and Scooby's dark side. Not only was the show at its peak in the late 60s-early 70s, when drug use was REALLY taking off, but there are some lesser known clues that Cami and I have found during our extensive research. We don't know all the details, but this is how we think it started.
One of the villians that they confronted before the show was even on air gave Shag and Scoob some hallucinogens such as L.S.D, as well as large doses of marijuana to keep them from catching him. This went on for about a week, until Fred and Daphne, who were "busy" in the Mystery Machine, showed up to help them catch the bad guy. Unfortunately for the gang, Scoob and Shag were already hooked on marijuana. Velma, being the only really intelligent one of the group, and a science whiz, decided to help her addicted friends out. She went into her laboratory and make up delicious snack cookies called "Scooby Snacks". These were no ordinary cookies, they were laced with pot, and probably some other drug, not known to Cami and I at the time. You'll notice in the episodes whenever the guys are too scared to do something, Velma says "I'll give you some Scooby Snacks if you do it." In doing this, Shag and Scoob get so high, they just don't care and they'e having too good of a time to worry about getting killed. Also, the missing drug in the cookies makes them see things that aren't really there....
A fairly obvious sign that they're hooked on marijuana is that they always have the munchies. They constantly need food and will eat anything just to stop the munchies.

Case 3: Does Micky Dolenz provide the voice for Shaggy?
No. Casey Kasem does. Sorry.
