WWF Tough Enough set to debut on MTV' The reality-based television series documents the discovery and creation of the next male and female World Wrestling Federation Superstars. It kicks off Thursday, June 21, at 10 pm. Thirteen talented, charismatic male and female athletes will live together, train together, play together, and compete against one another to achieve their ultimate dream--contracts with the World Wrestling Federation. In a conference call with reporters on Thursday, "WWF Tough Enough'  trainers, Al Snow and Tazz, along with MTV producer Kevin Mok and WWF producer John 'Big' Gaburick previewed the exciting show. 'WWF Tough Enough' is different than most reality shows, such as 'Survivor' or "Real World' in that the contestants are not just trying to win money. 'These kids are trying to accomplish a dream. They aren't trying to stab each other in the back. They are trying to make their dream come true. It's very real.', Al said. The first episode kicks off with a one-hour special that documents the selection of the thirteen competitors. Of the more than 5,000 applications that were received as part of an open casting call held earlier this year, 230 semi-finalists were invited to participate in a live audition at WWF New York. The first episode chronicles the audition that resulted in the selection of the 13 finalists. Twelve half-hour episodes will air every Thursday beginning the following week  on June 28 at 10:00p. EST. A live season finale is currently planned to announce the winners. World Wrestling Federation Superstars Al Snow, Tazz, Jaqueline and Tori were the official 'World Wrestling Federation Trainers' , with special appearances throughout the season by many WWF Superstars including Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Mick Foley. The training process was a difficult one for the contestants, and Tazz explains why, 'My number one goal going in was not to make it easy. When I first heard about this show, I was mad about it. I believe that people should pay their dues and come up through the ranks and earn their spot in the WWF. These people needed to understand why you have to pay your dues.' Al agreed. 'I wasn't going to intentionally make it difficult, because I knew that the training process was going to be difficult on them anyway. The Wrestling business is not fake, and they definitely understand that.' Mok, an executive producer for MTV, and a veteran producer of reality shows such as MTV's 'The real World' and ABC's 'Making the Band', was especially surprised at the physical rigors of the show, and thinks that the moments they provide will make for some compelling television. 'This was a very exciting show to be a part of,' he said, 'In all of my experiences, this was the most exciting show I was associated with.'
