The Reality of the UFO-phenomenon

Statement

First of all, even though we can be certain of the reality of the UFO-phenomenon, we cannot be sure of their origin. We at A.U.R.A. think we are actually dealing with various phenomena here . It's our opinion that:

1. Some UFO-reports may be of a psychological kind. This is actually been a proven fact in numerous cases. The 'witnesses' in these cases often use the 'UFO-scenery' to let something out that is actually a product of their own feelings and/or thoughts. This should not mean that we should simply dismiss these reports, they could teach us a lot about or own psychological processes. It must be added that this explanation only goes for a small number of UFO-accounts!

2. Some UFOs will, once we fully understand the process, be explained as natural/biological phenomena. The balls of light and plasma-like UFOs could very well be just this. Especially in those cases where UFOs are seen hovering above the same piece of land day in, day out one could suspect we're dealing with natural geofysical phenomena.

3. Some UFO's surely are secret militairy aircraft-projects. In many cases of Flying Triangle reports we can strongly suspect them to be man-made. Ofcourse it is ridiculous to think ALL FTs therefor of terrestrial origin. In the belgian flap 1989-92 we can rule this practicly out since their Air Force tried to intercept the UFOs with F-16 fighters. Now obviously there would've been no need to do so if they KNEW what these things where. And if they where NATO or USAF they also would've known! Also the CIA tried recently tried to convince us with the ludicrous claim that ALL UFO-sightings in the 50-ies and 60-ies over America have been secret experimental aircraft. Sure! And american agents in that days were all bold and had big black eyes or wore long blond hair and silvery, tight- fitting suedes. They had the capability to walk through walls at the CIA too. To bad the forgot :-)

4. Some UFOs are intellegent controlled alien craft. Alien in this phrase meaning not from this earth. Wether this is from out of space or from an other dimension is yet to be discovered. We know there is little evidence to support this hypothesis but in some cases as described in the UFO-literature this seems to be the only explanation possible.

But whatever the origin of the phenomena might be, there is enough evidence to be certain of the fact that UFOs exist!

Sightings received by A.U.R.A.:

December 25th, 1975 Location: Nijmegen, Netherlands

On christmas-eve mrs. R. resident of Nijmegen, together with her family sat at their christmas-dinner when her father saw a light through the window. The light aproached their house and they could make out a large, grey, cigarshaped object with many coloured light attached to. On its side they could see something that looked like port-holes, eminating a yellowish glow. They could here no sound coming from the object.

Summer of 1985 Location: Nijmegen

During a period of 3 weeks D. and C. and others witnessed a formation of bright glowing triangular objects on several occasions. The objects moved soundless and very fast from horizon to horizon within jusst seconds. Other people witnessed these objects too after D. and C. drew there attention to the object passing over in V-formation.

June 11th, 1997 Location: Berg & Dal, Netherlands

Two young men, 18 and 21 saw a bright orange ball of light aproaching at 11.05 pm. They first thought it was an airplane with the sunlight reflecting on its surface. But as the object came closer they saw a dark greyish disc-shape inside the orange glow. It shot straight up at once and dissapeared after making a 90 degree turn. The two then knew for certain it wasn't an ordinairy plane they saw.

June 19th, 1997 Location: Nijmegen, Netherlands

Around 7.30 pm mr. D saw a strange orange coloured light in the sky. He thought it was a regular plane with the low-setting sun reflecting on its surface at first. Then he noticed the irregular 'wobbling' movement of the object. After he pointed his friend M. in its direction, they both witnessed a smaller ball of white light emerge out of the larger orange object. It looked as if th white light orbited around the orange UFO twice before dissapearing again. By then the object dissapeared behind a large building block. Both witnesses runned to the other side of the building block in order to get another look at the object, but to their surprised it never arrived at the other side...
