Return with us now to a simpler time...

A time when you could relax on your porch and watch a naked person jog down the street of your hometown on any given day. A time when you could rely on the Israeli Army to trounce and conquer anything. A time when a cartoonist could draw nipples firming beneath the cloth of a blouse, because it mirrored the general fashion. A time of casual sex, when drug jokes were a cheerful, welcome respite from the rest of the ABC TV lineup. A time when the name Richard Nixon meant something. A time when we had made fun of all the villians, and only had our heroes left to tease...

Yes, the mid-to-late 1970's. The birth creche of that old-time religion, Fantasy Role-Playing. It was in that moment that CAVERNS & CHAMELEONS leapt to life in the basement of Mark Rose, where he and I giggled our way to what we knew was the most complete riff on the Dungeons & Dragons "Blue Book" that fandom could muster.

But despite warm receptions from everyone from Judges Guild to Avon Books, C&C never sold. Come back with us now, and experience the joys and wonders of those Pennsylvania nights, as Mark and I share for the first time the orphan elder half-brother of YAMARA...

Caverns & Chameleons.
