All that is known about Raven is he is a spirit that has chosen Akasha as his keeper. And when Akasha was mortal, two weeks before she was given the dark blood, he appeared to her in a dream.

Akasha rarely talks of this dream, but when she is heard muttering to herself, the words that are heard are: 'He offered me something to kill the pain. I couldn't resist. I wanted to be with him, nomatter the cost.'

Raven knew fully wellwhat Akasha would become and is now held fast tothe destiny that he has made for them both. He has sworn to protect her and thus follows her around like a heartbroken lover.

Akasha's first gift to Raven after she was imortalized was that of his mask. Its maker and origen are unknown.

He holds Akasha's weapons and is the only one that knows the chant to raise Akasha's Coffin from the earth.
