you want to know a little bit more about me? I'm Alison, but variously
known as Ali, Al, Ally and Darth Ally amongst other things.
I have been a fannish person pretty much all my life, starting with
being a fan of Doctor Who from a young age. See the photo up there? I
was watching Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor around the time that was
taken and funnily enough I'm still following the exploits of a certain
Time Lord on TV to this day. For a bit more every-day trivia about me,
Hair & Eye colour?
Hair's dark reddish brown/black with black ends. Has been
purple, orange, black, green and henna'd - not all at once I hasten to add -
though it did look particularly nice in 1999 when it was black with dark
purple streaks! My eyes are sort of green and though I'd love to get a pair
of purple contact lenses with cat-pupils - I haven't got the nerve, so I'll
stick with the sludgy green eyes.
Too old to be counted as a child, and too young to be retired. And I'm not
saying any more than that!
There's a song lyric that I find very appropriate for me, by ProJekt -
"Old Enough to Know Better, Young Enough not to Care" - from the song
Anthem For the Disconnected.
Chocolate, music, more chocolate, socialising, chocolate,
history, baths, clothes, even more chocolate, reading, playing The Sims,
generally messing round on my computer and holidays. Oh, and
chocolate. You can find out
in more detail about what sort of thing I read and listen to
here if you want.
Where my heart is... Seriously - Liverpool, UK.
Purple (what a surprise) and black. Dark Green isn't bad either.
3: a rather darling Border Collie lass and 2 mad gerbil brothers.
I used to have two chipmunks but one died and the other escaped. I've
also bred gerbils in the past, and kept guinea-pigs, mice, hamsters and
rats at various times (again not all at once!).
Lord of the Rings, Iron Man,
Star Wars (any of them), Saving Private Ryan, Highlander, The Matrix, Braveheart, Monty
Python's Life of Brian, The Crow, Pulp Fiction, Gladiator and The Man With Two Brains.
There're more than that, of course, but I'd be here all day if I put
*all* of them down. Plus there's the fact I never seem to get to see half the movies
I intend to!
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
There is no such thing as too much chocolate! (I have a fridge magnet with this on)
Of all the Things I have lost, I miss my mind the most.
Bailey's, vodka, alcopops in general, Midori (a nice green liqueur), The MTAS mule, kopparberg pear cider, mead and B52s.
a good B52, apparently.
