9-09-04 Birthday... yuck. Am not getting older. Am not, am not. Refusing to get older.

9-21-04 Okay, so, I haven’t really written a real journal entry in a long time. So, let’s see if I can sum up all of the things that have happened recently.
I am back, from my mini-vacation, living in Las Vegas. With my mother. (Ugh.) Who still treats me like I’m twelve. Which is why I need to find a place of my own as soon as possible. Only I’ve calculated that I need $2,000 saved in order to move. That would be enough money to cover two months worth of bills and rent. Right now I only have $100 saved. So, it might be a while before I can move.
On the job front, I’ve signed up with a temp agency, Apple One. Right now I’m assigned to Henriksen/Butler – Nevada. They design offices. The people aren’t bad to work with, they are just really stressed out about designing offices. This temp job has the potential to become permanent. I’m not sure if I want to take it, if they offer it to me, with all the stress these people go through over chairs and desks. But of course I want to get a place of my own, so, it might be better to take the job, if they offer it to me, just because I know what to do there. I can always look for a different job once I have myself set up.
I still need to register for UNLV, and get transcripts for UNLV and CCSN. If I do get the job with Henriksen/Butler I’ll have to ask them about taking classes during the day, I’ll still take the job, even if I couldn’t take the classes, but I might stay with them longer if I could.
I got to seeLady Rayven for my birthday. She was in ‘Vegas just for a few days, to go to court. It was great to see her. Apparently she is really loving Texas. That’s good to hear, a little sad that we won’t be able to roommate together, but okay with me too. I want her to be happy, and if Texas is making her happy all the better. And I kind of want my own place. All to myself, so this works out for the both of us.
I have another friend who will be visiting me from Ash Fork, Arizona, this weekend. I haven’t seen her in over a year, so it’ll be nice to hang out together, and work on our book. She was supposed to stay with me at “my place,” but of course I don’t have a place, so she will be staying with her brother. I asked my mother (because my friend asked me to) if my friend could stay at my mother’s house, which I already knew the answer would be “no” before I even asked, my mother then complained about me, and did I think her house was a hotel? She then said, “no” on the grounds that she’d have to worry about two people staying out late at night.
Whatever.
I have another friend visiting at the end of the month, he will be kidnapping me and we’ll go see the Grand Canyon. I’ve seen it from the air, but not up close. So that’ll be fun, and something to look forward to. I’ll have to take lots of pictures.
