The song "Crush" is by Jennifer Paige. I recommend getting the single, it's a great song. I almost think some of the lines were written for DC sometimes. Almost.

"Ahhh...Crush
ahhh..."

Dawson and Joey kissed for a little while until Dawson suddenly pulled back. Running his fingers through his hair, he said, "Oh God, Jo, what are we doing?"

Joey frowned. Not the reaction you want when you're kissing guy you like. "Don't tell me you're still not sure, Dawson," she said, slightly upset.

"I don't know how I feel," he said, "it's like...It's like everything's changing and I can't control it. I just have to step back and think about how I really feel about you."

"see you going near
'Cuz it doesn't take a scientist
To understand what's going on baby
if you see something in my eye
let's not overanalyze
don't go too deep with it baby"

Joey felt crushed. She felt like a fool. Here she had basically admitted that she liked him and he wasn't sure if he felt the same way. Well, he wasn't going to get the satisfaction of having her pine for him again. At least, she wasn't going to let him think that she was pining for him.

"So let it be what it'll be
don't make a fuss and get crazy over you and me
Here's what I'll do, I'll be loose
Not like we have a date with Destiny"

"You know Dawson," she said, "you're right. Maybe I'm not in love with you either. Yeah, it's probably just jealousy over Little Miss Highlights. I think we should spend time apart, you know, to clear the air of these raging hormones. They're affecting our brains."

Dawson looked surprised. "You sure?" he asked, looking somewhat doubtful.

"It's just (ahhh...)
A little crush (crush)
Not like I faint
Every time we touch
It's just (ahhh...)
Some little thing (crush)
Not like everything I do
Depends on you"

"Yeah," Joey said, shrugging like it was no big deal, even though it was tearing her apart on the insides, "I probably had just a tiny crush on you. No big deal. I mean, we've been friends a while, it's understandable."

Dawson looked somewhat hurt, but the expression quickly faded. "I guess," he said. Pausing a moment, he continued. "Are you going to France?"

Joey stopped. She had been halfway out of the window. "I don't know, Dawson," she said, "I need some time to think about it. But I'll let you know."

"Bye Jo," he said. When she was gone, he flopped back on his bed. "Maybe it was just a crush for you, Jo," he said, "but for me...I don't know, I just don't know..."

"Sha la la la"

Pacey met up with Joey as she headed towards her boat. "Hey Jo," Pacey said, "I saw the little make-out session." Pacey gave the impression of teasing her, but on the inside, it was tearing him apart. It wasn't fair. Dawson had been oblivious to Joey's feelings, and that just increased Joey's crush. No guy had a chance.

Joey looked at the boat and back at Pacey. "It didn't end too well," she admitted, "He freaked out, saying he wasn't sure what he felt, I said I just had a little crush on him and it didn't mean anything. I just didn't want to be pining for him anymore."

"I'm sorry, Jo," Pacey said, appearing sad, but secretly cheering, "if you ever need anyone to talk to..."

"Actually," Joey said, "I don't feel like going home to Mother goose and rosemary's Baby. There's an all-night coffeehouse nearby, feel like going?"

"Sure," Pacey said, somewhat surprised, "I'd love to."

"Sha la la la..."

Joey laughed hysterically at what Pacey had said. He was actually fun to hang out with. Pacey was having a great time too, just being with her.

Dawson's a fool,' Pacey thought to himself.

Joey found herself staring at Pacey. 'He's very handsome when he smiles,' she thought. She quickly shook the thought out of her head. 'Come on Jo,' she thought, 'He's Pacey, the guy with the Mighty Ducks obsession. Still...He's awfully cute.'

Pacey and Joey reached for the sugar at the same time and their hands touched. They both quickly pulled their hands back, blushing. Both of them felt an electric flush creep through them.

Joey shook her head again to get rid of all thoughts of Pacey. She couldn't let him get inside her thoughts. She refused to like both Pacey and Dawson, it would be too weird...

"Listen, Jo," Pacey said, "I know it's not the best time, but I just wanted to tell you that....that...I like you," he blurted out, "I've liked you for so long, I just didn't know how to tell you. I mean, you were crazy over Dawson and I was the town screw-up. If you get over Dawson, I just want you to know that I would like to have a relationship with you."

Joey didn't know what to say. She sort of liked Pacey but what about Dawson. this was too much to handle right now. "I...I.." she said, "I have to go." Grabbing her purse, she quickly rushed out of the coffeehouse.

Pacey banged his head on the table. "Great. You just have to say those things don't you?" He saw a woman at the other table looking at him funny.

"Sorry ma'am," he said, "It's these damn voices in my head. They like telling Pauly Shore Jokes." The woman just shook her head and turned back to her coffee.

"It's raising my adrenaline
You're banging on A heart of tin
Please don't make too much of it baby
Say the word forever more
that's not what I'm looking for
All I can commit to is Maybe
So let it be, what it'll be
Don't make a fuss and get crazy over you and me
Here's what I'll do, I'll be loose
Not like we have a date with Destiny"

Joey held her head in her hands. 'Great,' she thought, 'What do I do now? I like Dawson, He's not sure, I sort of like Pacey, he's ready for a commitment.' Pacey. The thought just confused her more. He was cute, funny, extremely annoying and bullheaded...they were so much alike, it was scary. 'Oh no,' Joey thought with a strange look on her face, 'I have a crush on Pacey.'

"It's just (ahhh...)
A little crush (crush)
Not like I faint
Every time we touch
It's just (ahhh...)
Some little thing (crush)
Not like everything I do
Depends on you"

Joey set her head in her hands. "Men suck," she said. But she knew what she had to do. Standing up, she started walking in her destination. She hoped she was making the right decision.

"Sha la la la"

Dawson finally found clarity in "A Walk In The Clouds." Usually he didn't go for the Keanu Reeves movies, but there was this one line that struck him. "the heart wants what the heart wants," it said. That struck a chord with Dawson. Suddenly, he knew what his heart wanted.

"Sha la la la..."

Pacey sat in the Coffeehouse, preparing himself to go home to the Witter torture chambers. But whatever punishment Doug or his Dad decided to inflict on him, all pain would be wiped with one memory of Joey's face.

Joey. As if on cue, She stepped through the door. Looking at Pacey, she walked over and said, "I've made a decision..."

"Vanilla Skies...(vanilla skies)
White Picket Fences
In your eyes
A vision of You and Me...(and me..and me...)"

"I've decided...I've decided..." her mouth hung on the words. She just couldn't say them. Pacey sat there, waiting expectantly. "Ah, hell with it," she said. Leaning forward, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately.

"It's just (ahhh...)
A little crush (crush)
Not like I faint
Every time we touch
It's just (ahhh...)
Some little thing (crush)
Not like everything I do
Depends on you"

Dawson couldn't believe what he was seeing. He didn't WANT to believe what he was seeing. Joey and Pacey engaged in a kiss. He had to get out of there. Storming out, he left the kissing couple alone to kiss the night away. But this was not over...oh no...not by a long shot.

"Sha la la la
Not like I faint
Every time we touch
It's just (ahhh...)
Some little thing (crush)
Not like everything I do
Depends on you
Sha la la la
Not like I faint
Every time we touch..."
