SHEPHERDS
The German Shepherd
breed originated in Germany and may be a descendant of the Bronze age wolf.
During World War II the breed was known as an "Alsatian" but the name changed
back to German Shepherd at the end of the war. This breed was first
shown in dog shows in 1882. It is an extremely intelligent dog breed
and is often used as a police dog, guide dog for the blind, and in the armed forces.
