Here I am with FABulous FABio!!! Actually, I changed the background in Photoshop. I met Fabio at a signing of his new book in June 1996 in Phoenix. I must admit that I went to the signing expecting to find a vain male model but instead found a delightful warm, sensuous, truly caring man! It was an honor and a pleasure to meet Fabio Lanzoni. He exemplifies the old adage, "you can't tell a book by its cover." This "book of love" is a true treasure! I was very pleasantly surprised to find that Fabio is a very deep thinker and a very spiritual man! His gentle manner was most impressive in person as was his desire to get up close and personal with the fans. He stood in front of the table and posed amiably for pictures. He was most gracious as well as patient. (Especially when I got tongue-tied in Italian! I told him that I was Italian; he replied "Come sta?" to which I should have replied "sto bene" meaning "I am fine." Instead I stammered, "fa bene" which means "the weather is fine!") He was most gallant in trying to help me find the correct response! I found him very sympathetic and deeply moved by those less fortunate and in need of assistance. We were all impressed with Fabio's sincerity. His favorite charity is the American Cancer Society. Fabio was born on March 15, 1961 (a Pisces!) to Flora and Sauro Lanzoni. He hit the shores of NYC in 1983 and within 15 minutes of walking through the door of Ford's Modelling Agency was offered a contract! He has posed on the covers of many a romance novel and graced the tv screens in the"I Can't Believe It's Not Butter"commercials. Fabio is now an American Citizen!CONGRATULATIONS on receiving your Green Card Fabio! WELCOME HOME! Siamo contenti! Le piace la USA? Fabio is currently negotiating a cartoon series about a Superhero to be aired in the Fall (what with all the current Hollywood hype about Hercules, I wonder...) In a recent interview on Conan O'Brien's Show, The King of Romance, stated that he is unattached and playing the field but looking for his soulmate. As he puts it, and I heartily agree, "Everybody has a twin soul out there."
