A Candle For you
When my aching heart is sore for you,
I look back on memories and light a candle for you.
The flame of the candle, burning so bright,
Knowing I lit it, you'll come to my side.
I feel your presence, your tenderly touch
You know how I miss you, and need you so much.
You're my guiding star on a clear summer night,
My inspiration and hope, to get on with my life.
I know you can hear me when I tell you "goodnight",
You blow me your kisses, and hold me so tight.
So when I light your candle in memory of you,
Know sweet child,
I am thinking of you.
And when I blow out your candle, your spirit flies high
