I'll Never Let Go, Chapter 10
Chapter 10

Zac looked at the big blood stain on his floor. They were going to have to replace the carpet because it was there forever. He glanced at the clock on the night stand by his bed. It was just about the time that Cory came over to watch Titanic.

The door bell rang, and Zac jumped at the sound, then started running down the hall, the stairs, and finally through the house to the entry way, where Cory was hanging her coat up.

It was now three days after his suicide attempt and he now realised how many people really would have missed him.

"Ready to watch the movie?" Cory asked, making him look up from his bandages.

"Uh, yeah. After you!" he said, as she walked through the house to his room, him at her heels.

When they got to his room, Zac closed the door and stood there, watching her until she turned around.

"Did you ever read the article in Seventeen?" he asked.

"Of course! That's why I was coming over, to make things right. But then you..." she stopped, stepping closer.

"Did you understand what I was trying to say?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow and giving her a flirty smile.

"Uh-huh." she answered, stepping as close as she possibley could.

"Cory?"

"Yeah?"

"I don't know why, but it took me so long to understand my feelings for you. And... well..." he pulled her in his arms, studying her face, her eyes. "You have the prettiest eyes." he said.

She smiled, inching her face towards his.

Then the door openned. There appeared Mack, not aware that he was ruining the moment that Zac and Cory had been waiting for since they were born.

"Zac, can I watch the movie with you?" he asked.

"No, some other time." Zac answered.

"Aw, Cory, tell him I can watch with you!" Mack begged Cory.

"Sorry, Mack, I have to side with Zac today." she answered, looking at Zac who was busying himself with the movie, putting it in the VCR and fast forwarding through previews.

"Oh, fine. You owe me, Zac." Mack answered, disappearing and closing the door behind him.

Zac sighed, knowing that the moment had been recked.

They watched the first part of the movie. Well, actually, Cory watched the first part, while Zac watched her.

She finally turned to him, and he smiled.

She smiled back, studying his face. He put his hands on her cheeks and she licked her lips. Their faces inched closer and closer together, and finally, after twelve years of waiting, Zac and Cory kissed.

It was a peck at first, then another slightly longer one. The third time, Zac gently put his tongue in her mouth, and she did the same, until they were deeply french kissing. He ran his fingers through her dark hair, and she threw her arms around his neck.

At that moment, nothing else mattered but Cory. After the kiss, Zac weaved his fingers through hers. I've finally found her. he though, gazing at her.

"I'll never let go." he said, along with Rose, at the end of the movie.

"Neither will I." she said, smiling at Zac.

THE END

Zac later married Cory when they were nineteen. They had four kids, and two, Joshua Taylor and Avery Grace, along with their cousin Caytlyn Marie, Taylor and Lauren's first born, and Ike and Kathryn's second born child, Clarke Thomas, formed a band and hit it big around the world.

Zac still thinks of the suicide attempt as the thing that really pulled Cory and him together. Cory just thinks it's the work of angels.

*~*Author's Note-I'd just like everyone to know that when I began writing this story, I had no idea what would happen to Zac, but I liked it when I set it in the future, because I didn't need to know everything that Hanson did and where they went, I could completely make it up. I think that suicide awareness needs to be spread more throughout the world. One out of every five people in the world thinks of suicide sometime in their lives, and it's just terrible to think that they could even think that no one was there for them. As I said, when I first started writing, I didn't know what would happen. Then I was watching a Road Rules show on MTV, and it was the one where they have to make a PSA (Public Service Announcement) on suicide. It was so inspirational, that I decided to include it into my story. Thanks for reading this, and remember to make sure everyone you know knows that you will always be there for them, and vise versa.-Caitlin*~*
