Angel

Angel was the love of my life. She found me back in college in 1988. I fell in love with her the minute she started chewing on my shoe strings during a lab on a cattle farm. It was she and I against the world until I lost her on August 30, 2004. She is greatly missed. Rest in peace my dear Angel.
Here's Miss Fancy!

Fancy was saved from the local pound on one of her last days back in 1996. The workers at the pound called her "Dolly" because they thought she looked like one of Dolly Parton's coats! She's very loveable and freely gives kisses and hugs. Fancy came to me at a very vulnerable time; after I lost my previous cat, Midnyte, to diabetes. She's definately taken the sorrow out of my heart that I felt during that loss.

Meet Jaxson

Jaxson is now the "top dog" on Baker's Acres. He loves herding his barn kitties-regardless that he has severe hip dysplasia and got hit by a car in June of 1999. He is one of the smartest dogs we've ever known and is now his momma's new walking partner!

Introducing our newest addition...Kalli!

Kalli became part of Baker's Acres in October of 2004. She was born August 24th, 2004. We got her from a breeder in LeMars, IA (on the Iowa/Nebraska border.) She is easing some of the pain from losing our dear Angel while reminding us how demanding puppyhood is. Kalli is a typical Aussie in that she's very strong-willed and boisterous! She loves to pounce on the barn kitties-much to their dismay!
My Childhood Dream

Apache is my childhood dream. I was able to buy him after a lucky pull on a slot machine in Las Vegas. I guess I should've named him Jackpot! LOL!
I've waited my entire life to have a nice horse -especially one I could both show and trail ride. We tried our luck with Western Pleasure and Reining and even won a blue ribbon in the summer of 1998! Now we're focusing on trail riding. Apache's added a whole new spark to my life and was definately worth the wait.
