April's Resin Ball-Jointed Dolls
THE FAIRY HOUSE GALLERY

The amount of beautiful things made for bjds by individual artists always amazes me. BJDs are amazing alone, but all these wonderful things just add to the delight! So imagine how I felt when I saw this incredible Fairy House being offered for sale by doremi on The Resin Cafe bjd forum! Fairy Gardens and little objects have been very popular (with the whole interest in Fairies in general), but I have still not seen anything to match this lovely doll house. It is just a kid's dream, and my dream as a lover of dolls and fantasy themes.

The maker, doremi, is located in Germany. I was just thinking the house (with dried flowers and all the little pieces) would end up in splinters if shipped. And I thought the shipping would be astronomical in cost. But Doremi said the cost would only be $50 (I'm sure she must have lost money on that!). The house itself was only $250. Believe me, the details and objects sold with it and just the care and details in construction make this a paltry cost! So of course I had to have it.

It is just totally enchanting and magical!!!!

GALLERY

This box barely fit in a large car! The post office let me wheel it out in one of their carts. One of the largest boxes I've ever had shipped to me.

Securely bubble-wrapped.

Unwrapped--lots of items.

Jinx (Realpuki) couldn't wait to try out the sofa, with Bumblee the bee.

Nettle checks out the Dining Room.

Although the Fairy House came fully furnished and decorated, I couldn't help gilding the lily by adding the plants and flowers in the terracotta pot and blue-detailed basket.

Nettle in the Kitchen (I added kitty, baskets and fruit).

Nixie (Dreamhigh Nox) now in the bedroom.

Jinx upstairs with a Dragon Hatchling (by Daisy Dayes--from the BJDC 2012) in the crib that came with the house.

Nixie on wooden bench (added) outside of the Fairy House.

Jinx spots an armadillo.

Nettle and Jinx upstairs, petting the kitty.

Nixie looking in the kitchen window.

Jinx on the bed with one of the hedgehog twins and the dragonet.

Having Tea in the Dining Room.

Outside, with view of windows and details.

Balcony off the bedroom.

View of the Tower, outside.

Nettle at the front door with one of the hedgehog twins.

The windows have plexiglass panes. You can see the flower arrangement inside.

Nixie on the roof.

Jinx on the side of the house. The dried plants to the left survived the shipping amazingly well.
