Iplehouse EIDs are huge, heavy dolls. Gorgeous, but unwieldy. I love them, but had tried to avoid actually owning one--until I got Tedros. But he was a Model Body, a little lighter than the SuperHero Body. That was about as big as I ever wanted a doll to be. I was pretty sure I'd be content and not want another. (ha!)
Then Rex-Special Forces went on sale in May 2013. I thought the Special Forces theme was pretty brilliant, considering the popularity of military-style things. Anyway, I safely resisted him during the sales period, and was pretty good at not buying dolls for three or four months. Then I saw a Rex for sale (on Zone of Zen and DoA) and promptly caved!
I'm calling him Marquis Rex MacFadyen: Marquis (pronounced: Marcus), Rex (because I really like that name and have used it for a character before), MacFadyen after a character from the Special Forces book.

Iplehouse does amazing faceups. I don't know if the eyes came with him originally or not, but they were shipped to me in him already. I rather like them, but might try some other eyes at some point.

Pretty much like Story 1, although I'm not sure Raven and Valentin are related. Marquis seems to be on the outside again. He was totally an after-thought when it comes to this group! Here, he's definitely the rougher, tougher pirate Captain...
