It seems like amazing dolls are being produced at an ever-increasing rate... I'm just dizzied by the number of Sooms and Iplehouses and countless other dolls that are just calling to me. When I bought my Iplehouse Tedros I hoped he would be my one and only foray into big, realistic dolls... but no, of course not. Soon after, Iplehouse came out with two more limited Noctarcana Circus dolls, Carina and Theo in tanned skin, and they both were gorgeous! So... does Valentin need a lover or a sister or a brother? I kept wandering over to the website and was drawn more and more to Theo.
Both Carina and Theo are tanned and very exotic in features. I do tend towards the male dolls... so Theo was calling louder and suddenly I was picking out names and creating a backstory, something that I don't think I've actually done for any previous BJDs! I was figuring out how Valentin and Theo could be related--as half-brothers, with Valentin older and more responsible, and Theo being a wilder spirit. The story and characters were growing quickly. Basically, I was doomed from the point I started picking names... or maybe from the first look at the website? "Don't look!" said the Crow... *sigh*
Layaway was also spelling doom for me. I figured a super-expensive doll wasn't quite so crazy when paid for over three months. Wow. I am SO in trouble!

Default Snake Charmer outfit, minus the turban and the sandals (require the tabi feet) and the earrings (need to pierce ears). I also didn't purchase the flute or the snake!
I changed outfits. This one is by Tous Les Garcons on DoA. I had to send them measurements since few people make clothes for SIDs. SIDs are super-wide in the shoulder and waist and, well, the shirt and waistcoat are too tight to close! I think he still looks great. Although he's not so happy with the less comfortable clothes he must wear as a more proper English gentleman--which he is not at all...
I thought Valentin was the moody one, but Raven is looking rather Byronic, I think.
