Welcome to Club Sangre

From the viewpoint of Ashen Rose:

The crowd was thin that night at Club Sangre, or this story probably
wouldn't have happened. Dustmonger was behind the bar, like he always
was on a Friday night. Over by the dance floor, our DJ Sammy was chatting it up
with the young Tremere we were protecting while she was in NYC. An
Assamite walked in, and our bouncer, Aurora, immediately accosted him,
pointing out the non-violence code of the establishment and asking him to
relinquish all weapons. She got a few minor things off of him, but everyone
present knew he had to have at least five more weapons concealed someplace.
Some guy who was new to the place was at the bar, but seemed to be waiting
for someone, and wasn't talking to anyone but Dust, who was giving him
drinks for free. There were a few others, but no regulars. That's probably
why it went like it did...
Well, the guy at the bar stopped talking to Dust when the Assamite
ordered blood. God, it's not like it's vitae. I mean, Dust whips it up
right there using Matter, Life, and Prime magicks.
The guy who'd been at the bar moved to a table, and some new guy came
in. Hmm... Covered in tattoos of the Digital Web and Net Spiders, my
bet was that he was either a Glass Walker Metis werewolf or a Virtual
Adept suffering from extreme Paradox. Dust began talking to the Assamite
at the bar, something about Cthulhu and the year 2000's presidential
campaign. A couple others wandered in, then the lights went out.
I switched to my various mystick senses, detecting the mental energy of
those around me. I presumed the others were enabling various night-vision
things, and I wasn't disappointed. People started flooding in. Their minds
were...shall we say... unpleasant. Aurora had five of 'em on her at the
start. She couldn't even struggle as they carted her off. Sammy, the DJ,
was having troubles of his own. Some Euthanatos was hacking at anything that
came clear, and the others were either fighting back or running for it,
except... WHAT WAS THAT TREMERE THINKING? She was just sitting by the bar!
She must be casting some potent rite that was gonna save us all. I'd better
get over there...
My, this place was popular all of a sudden. Now, if only the newcomers
weren't dragging the club's employees out the door. Well, I made it over to
the Tremere, only to have the lights flare suddenly. The place was on fire!
Okay, Kindred don't like fire... I started casting out with my Mind
magick and calming the vampires present as those of us who were left fled the
building. This was bad... I ran to get the boss.
When I got back, the crowd was standing out front. Of course, no one
outside of our little group noticed the fire, but we had to act fast or the
Technocracy and/or Sabbat would catch on... If they weren't the ones that
started the fire...
Carl introduced himself, and in his usual annoying brusque manner, gave
them too little information, and left. Grr... I was supposed to find out who
was going and who wasn't.
The Tremere, a woman named Maelle, readily accepted the assignment, as did
the Assamite, whose name was Rath Redeye. The Euthanatos, a man by the name of
Christian Blake, promised his aid in the matter. The Immortal and the Glass Walker
werewolf agreed, as did a Lich and a Hollow One who showed up a few minutes later.
Taking down their names, I hurried off to meet Carl back at the apartment...

From the viewpoint of Random, Dustmonger's Familiar:

The Bad Buddies took Buddy Dust. I had to help. This was a bad, bad thing. I hid, or
the Bad Buddies would have taken me too. When the Hot Sames showed up, I asked them to
help Buddy Dust, but they had a Bad Buddy telling them what to do. One of the Bad Men was
bossing them around, making them hurt. Then they were gone. Buddy Dust's Buddy Ash was
running home, so I sat on the shoulder of Buddy Dust's new Buddy, Blake. If Buddy Dust
couldn't get away from the Bad Buddies on his own, I'd help our new Buddy Blake get him
back.
The Pale Buddy named Rath was lost in his mind, just like the Endless Buddy. A lot of
the others couldn't see me, 'cause I was still hiding, but my new Buddies Blake and Hoggoth
were gonna make them see. The hairless Furry Buddy crossed over, but didn't really look at
me. I asked one of the Spider Sames where the Bad Buddies went. When none answered, I got real
scary and flapped my wings. Then a Spider Same pointed at the under-tunnels, with one of the
"we're all Same, you do your Same, I do my Same, we do Same together" looks they do right before
they Web other Sames, and even visiting Buddies. Spider Same scared me, so I pulled Blake over to
the under-tunnel portal and tried to open it. I was scared to stop hiding, since the Bad Buddies
might still be around, but I had to save Buddy Dust!
We went down into the under-tunnels. Buddy Rath lit a fire stick. Other buddies yelled,
called him names. He put it out and switched on a lightbox. We all came down, and looked around.
Someone came down the tunnel. Buddy Tony! He'd help us save Buddy Dust! The Buddies I was with
started screaming and were gonna hurt Buddy Tony, but then something else came. Ratkin Buddies!
The Ratkin Buddies pushed Buddy Blake in the water, and he was swept away. Buddy Maelle ran
away... The the Ratkin Buddies said we weren't False Life, and ran off. Buddy Tony took us to his
house, and told us to step into a little room.
