ATLANTIS

I met a traveller on my way to Atlantis.
He asked me where I go,
And when I spoke he said this:
"Oh, I've been to Atlantis;
It's green hills sit next to the sea.
The Kings that reign there,
The soldiers that defend her there
Against any evil that'd like to try,
It's almost a place not meant to be."

He turned from his path and joined me.
We talked as we walked, and he told me of Atlantis,
The place not meant to be:
"Oh, I've been to Atlantis;
It's temples reach for the sky.
The faith of hope's thick there,
The trust in good's solid there.
There's not one that won't give you a smile,
It's almost a place not meant to be."

I asked him the way to Atlantis.
He said he didn't know, but he did
go to this mystic place on the sea:
"And I've been to Atlantis;
Though a path for everyone there may not be.
The way for good's easy there,
The way for the lost is easier there
And those who need more faith to stop asking 'why?',
It's almost, a place not meant to be."
