In the early stages of the Tramway, wooden destination boards were used on the front of tram motors, these were later replaced by more modern roller signs in a destination box. These later destination rolls contained the names of Homeville and Rutherford, but were never used because, although it was assumed that an extension of the service was planned, it was never constructed.

The tram sheds at Victoria Street depot were built to house four steam motors and eight trail cars. A coal stage and a water column were also provided at this location.
