I live on one of the hawaiian islands. So I'm wondering, where do I
get the posters and t-shirts for R&J here? I am like, freaking out
because their is like, no where to go. We just got a spencers but it
isn't very good and has no R&J posters. And we don't get alot of the
catologs here either. The T.V. shows for like preveiws and all hardly
ever come on and if they do we have a big time differance so they come
on at the most akward times. I am like truely dying to get at least one
poster, or t-shirt, or even a key chain! Help!

I would love it if someone would E-mail me or this website for info

a place to get back issues of Seventeen, YM, Teen with articles

I have been hearing so much about this "Hollywood USA" place.
Tell me
about it! Where is it? Do they have a Catalog? Can I order on the Net,

Also, any other store having signed R+J things. I know there are
signed

And finally, at On Cue in Ohio, I bought the Romeo and Juliet

only $9.99, just in case anyone is interested in getting it for discount

I saw the preview for Titanic at the movies yesterday..Leo looks
really
hot and Kate Winslet is pretty. It looks like an excellent movie. Even
my parents wanted to see it.
---Leoluver
Entertainment Tonight Preview of Titanic
talked about James Cameron, and what he had to do with the
film, but they also interviewed Leo (which, at the time had long hair,
since
he was filming MITIM, it was kinda wierd to see him like that! I don't
think
its all of his real hair though) and they also interviewed Kate. Some
great
previews though. Just thought you would want to know.

I'm the one who works at Blockbuster and I just want all interested
parties to know that Romeo and Juliet is Number One in Video sales, at
least that's where it is on our Top Twenty. Cool! Oh, and I was
wondering if I was the only one who got swindled into buying another Fox
release for only 6.99. As if I don't have enough money that I need to
own That Thing You Do!, too. Damn them salesmen! They're too good!
---Kristen
Note from B--I had the offer to buy another Fox release for 5.99 or
6.99 at suncoast when I picked up R + J!!
Just wanted to write & tell everyone that my school is putting on

I have something for all of you Romeo and Juliet
lovers like me. I have this book/screenplay, that I am working on, and
I have a section availible for all those interested in previewing
it!!! It's a great romance/mystery that takes place in London. A
modern fairytale really. I think most of you would enjoy it. I would
love to get feedback from anyone!! So if you are interested...please
email me to get a copy.

Thanks to Stacy for telling about Hollywood USA...
Its about a 30 min drive for me... so me and my friend drove up there...
THANKSSOO much!!! I bought a 5x7 b/w of the hand kiss (when they first meet)
for 5.00 and a color pint with Romeo and Juliet kissing and the words from
the movie...ILOVE THEM! They were all out of Romeo and Juliet postcards,
keychains, and t-shirts... owell... I saw the signed pictures with Claire and
Leo ($250) and almost DIED! Also, there is a poster store at Pier 39 in San
Franciso called Poster Source (Ithink) and they had about four posters of
Leonardo and Romeo and Juliet... I bought this beautiful one of Romeo sitting
under the Grove of Sycamore close up, in his suit. theres a reddish orangish
light coming from behind him... then underneath him, It say "Romeo" in big
letters, then the words, "William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet"
It was 9.95. They have the Romeo fishtank one for 8.50
If anyone knows where to get the keychains and/or postcards,
please email me.

In the September issue of Elle magazine, there is a short
article on Claire! It is part of the Elle 25 (it's like, stuff/people
that are cool, or something like that! Claire is number 25). Anyway, the
article is titled, "Claire Danes.. Grown Up, At Last". It talks a little
about R + J, mentions a couple of things, like (I don't know if ya knew
this) Juliet's hair was only a wig! And they call her somewhat of a
young Meryl Streep, and mention her upcoming films.. Just thought you'd
like to know! Oh yeah, and if anyone knows the name of the catalog where
the ring and/or necklace is in, can they e-mail me?
---Sherri
I saw the weekend edition of Entertainment Tonight Fall an dWinter
movie preview. And they had a preview for Harold Perriona's (sp?) aka.
Mercutio, new movie The Edge.
They also had a short preview for TITANIC showing only a second of leo,
but he looked great. They also Had a preview for Jared leto's new
movie, I can't remember the name, but he plays a killer hitch hiker.
The reson i bring that up is because like me i know that there are a lot
of people that loved him on MSCL.
I only saw the last half an hour so i might have missed more movies.
I also noticed in an Excess Baggage commerical, in the background the
song "Sedated" was being played. That was the song that Jordan's band
played on MSCL (the episode where Rayanne sings in the band.)
I also got my copy of ROMEO and Juliet!! I AM SO HAPPY!!!!
---leo_lover@hotmail.com
If anyone has seen the image of R+J in the pool and the underwater
kiss on anything (poster, postcard, photos, etc.) PLEASE email me with
the details coz i'd love to get my hands on them since i haven't seen
anything with those two images.
Also, at the store where I got the wedding poster I saw an actual postcard
(not the magazine postcards) of the style A poster (the one with guns
and R+J kissing in the middle). It's from the same people who made the
wedding poster. they're called Box Office and they're based in England.
If anyone has seen the postcards please email me.

I read on the website that some people whose messages you posted saw or owned
a ring and/or necklace that are similar to the ones from the movie. Both
were seen in catalogs, but neither person could be written e-mail too...was
wondering if you knew how I could get my hands on one of those catalogs?

I need help here! Everyone keeps mentioning these
magazines that have Juliet's ring in it or Juliet's necklace or whatever, but
what drives me crazy is that they never mention an address to the magazine so
the rest of the less fortunate world can get their hands on it. So, I'm
begging everyone down on my hands and knees, licking your boots and pleading
insanity, for SOMEONE to send me the address to any magazine that has that
kind of stuff in it. I believe someone named Kat had emailed B a while back
and said the new issue of "Service Merchandise" had the ring in there.

I need to know where Ican get the R + J 1968 soundtrack

I found a website that has pictures from Leo's new movie (coming out in
February 1998) Man In the Iron Mask. Here it is: The Romeo and Juliet Forever Website .
Enjoy!
Also, did anyone happen to see Entertainment Tonight on Saturday Aug. 23? It
was the Fall/Winter movie preview. I turned it on the last 10 minutes of it.
I'm sure they had something about Titanic, U-Turn, and The Rainmaker. If
anyone saw it please e-mail me!

Does anybody know where I can find a Juliet dress or one similar to it at a
resonable price? I'm planning to be Juliet on Halloween and I really want to
find a dress like hers. I'm probably going to have to end up having someone
make one fo me. PLEASE help me!

I was wondering if anyone has copies of the magic show Leo hosted on
tv and or copies of the short film he did called "The Foot Shooting Party"
If anyone has either of these please e-mail me and I
will pay postage both ways to send a video tape and get a copy. Thanks!!

While watching the first part(maybe 20-25min.) of Conspiracy Theory
my eyes wandered up to the corner of the screen. There in the middle of
Times Square was a huge sign promoting Romeo and Juliet! I turned to my
friends to show them, but by the time I did it was gone, and they all
thought I was crazy. It was there though! Therefore, I'm guessing that
Conspiracy Theory must have been filmed around October or November.

How long should I wait before going to the video and music stores to ask for
the R&J posters and displays?
News-August 21, 1997
New SIGNS are from Kara.
The only R+J thing I was able to get in Russia was a Russian version
of R+J poster style B (international). Instead of tragedy postcard
it has vengeance postcard (Montague boyz with guns on the beach). I
got it for free at the theater (the movie was just released here). I
had to beg them to give it to me.
The soundtrack covers are absolutely the same as in the US. I think
that photo might be the Japanese version, cause I got Japanese volume
1 in N.Y. with a different cover. I wonder if their volume 2 has
some bonus tracks.
---Slava
I picked my R+J video up yesterday and i was sooooo happy i thought i'd never
get it...also people have been asking about the necklace and the ring...you
can get the ring at some Service Merchandise stores and a necklace similar to
juliets as well, i saw the ring in the new cadalog on page-104, its not the
exact some but its looks really close to it
---Kat
I was reading the new issue of Entertainment Weekly (The Fall Movie
Preview) and I noticed a movie called "The Edge" Harrold Perinneau
(Mercutio) is starring in it. It opens September 26th.
---Annie
I got the R + J video and it
gets better every time! It's true, I think R+J has reached cult status. I
hope that R+J makes it onto the Top Ten Video List. I'll definitely be
checking my Entertainment Weekly when I get it on Saturday( I wonder if it
will be in this week's or next?). I was kind of disappointed that the Mundy
Video wasn't on the end of this tape like it was on the Rentals. Oh well,
I'm not going to complain too much, at least I have R+J, and that's all
that matters!---Holly
Just wanted to tell you that Leonardo DiCaprio
was on American Journal
a few days ago! They were talking
about how his first big break Was "Growing Pains" and they showed some
clips of Romeo and Juliet. They also talked about how he goes to clubs, and
that he dated Liv Tyler, Alicia Silverstone and some other model.
---Jen
Well, I got my R + J video at
Media Play, for $9.95. I love it! I've seen this movie a few times before,
and I knew it was coming, but i still jumped when Juliet shot herself, I
still yelled at Romeo to lok down before he drank the poison, and i still
cried when they both died..... sigh. I love this movie so much......
---Tina
I found a wonderful ring and cross necklace in one of those Christian
Faith Catalogs. Its a silver cross on a chain, with a gold ring that reads
"True Love" on the cross. You can bet I'm going to find the catalog again
and order it.
I am proud to say I got the video on the ninteenth (I know i'm mailing
late). I also saw the movie on opening day (sat through it twice). I got
the first soundtrack the day i saw the movie. I got the second soundtrack a
day early cause the cashier liked my necklace. I met a girl at camp who had
the T-shirt and gave it to me, and I met someone with the candle and i
bargained for it. Other than the ALL (and i mean all) the posters for sale,
I've gotten my hands on several soundtrack posters by bugging the people who
work at the music stores enough. I was also obsessed enough to buy those
five magazines for the sheer joy of having the ten postcards. My friends
found some of the stills for me for my birthday. But I have one more
question. Around the time the movie came out, my best friend saw a table
full of RandJ books (official ones from movie) different from the book
containing the script. They were things like, understanding Romeo and
Juliet, Behind the Scenes, etc. Does anyone know whethere these books are
actually in exsistence?
---dizzy haze
I was watching Entertainment Tonight and guess what;s
going to be on tomorrow? A behind the scenes look at the making of Titanic!
Make sure you watch. Tomorrow, Thursday, August 21. Please let everyone
know!

Got the R + J video for 12.99$ Canadian at a HMV

I'm making a chronological
scrapbook of pictures I've printed off these sites BUT I am very frustrated
because I can find NO pictures of Tybalt's death scene which are of the
closeup on Romeo's beautiful eyes OR Tybalt falling into or lying in the
fountain. Did I miss them somewhere in your pics or does ANYONE know of
where I might locate any of these pics??? Any info would be useful and much
appreciated!

Got and spare change lying around (particularly $125)? Well at

The first two SIGNS are from Kara<.
A million "thank you's" goes to the people who found Hollywood
U.S.A in San Francisco. I flew down there on Saturday and was able to
get 2posters, mouse pad and an 8x10 wedding picture. I talked with the
manager and he said they were in the process of ordering R+J
mugs!!!!!!!!!!! The picture on the mug would be either the wedding
picture or a fine picture of Leo. Because of the huge demand they are
reordering items that have sold out (postcards and large style A poster)
and ordering more stuff. I know someone already mentioned to bring a
lot of money and I totally agree. I told the manager I heard about the
store from a R+J web site and so he said he will add all of the new
items to his web site. You can reach Hollywood U.S.A 's web site at
www.hollywood-usa1.com. Their address is Pier 39, Space L-11 San
Francisco, CA 94133 (415) 982-3538

About a month and a half ago, my sister went to a celeb party
hosted by Richard Karn (Home Improvement) at Planet Hollywood in
Seattle. Along with the party there was an auction. One of the items
was a framed R+J (style A) poster signed by both Leo and Claire!! My
sister bid on it for me, but it ended up selling for $375! If I had
been there I would have left for home with it. "I am fortune's
fool!
---Kara
In reading your "R&J" page, you state that Leonard Witting hasn't been heard from since the early 1970s. If I'm not mistaken, People Magazine did an interview with him (sometime after 1988) and Ms. Hussey as a film anniversary companion piece. In the article, he stated something to the effect that he's been busy with other projects in the time since and has written a number of screenplays, one of which he claimed was a sequel to "R&J."
I no longer have the article myself, but I am positive that it was People and that it appeared in either 1988 or 1993.
---D.S. Bruce
While I was on vacation, I purchaced Elvis Costello's "The Juliet Letters".
It was really worth the 17 bucks because the music involves themes related
to Romeo and Juliet. The songs range from letters to loved ones, an
attempted connection with a deceased love (Romeo's seance), advice(I thought
I'd write to Juliet), and a suicide note. Although the music is sad, it is
really beautiful.
