I am thankful for so many blessing in my life and all the on-line friends I've made.

I am thankful that my husband is doing great and holding his own while waiting on a liver transplant. I am thankful for 3 wonderful children that know the difference between right and wrong and normally choose right *grin*. Also for my 3 beautiful grandkids, they are the apple of all of our eyes.I am also thankful for my southern sisters, that take the time to sharetheir feeling with me and to listen to mine.

I know that just because that person looks like a stranger tome now, he or she may one day be my friend one day. I do know that even now,this is my sister or brother. I can see that in a smile or a frown I canhear it in voice and see it in face. I am thankful that I know what it feelslike to feel thankful.

The thing I am most thankful for is just being aliveto enjoy the people around me. Those people are my family, Jack my husband, Chris my 15 yr old son, Crystal my 13 yr old daughter. Then there are thefriends and neighbors I have. The friends that I have made surfing the web. Oh...Thankfulness!!....In itself it is a word that isa Blessing!....I have many Blessings of Thankfulness at the close of this year and this Thanksgiving season....I am thankful for my Daughter....who turned 16 just today...16 wonderful years....my other daughter.....21 wonderful yrs and my son....7 wonderful yrs to have thesechildren...gifts from God , knowing that he has placed them in my care tonurture them and let them go so that may become citizens of His world andenrich the lives of those around them. I am ever so thankful for myhusband...my Darling Husband who has (seriously) put up with me and loved me more and more over the yrs...I am thankful when I look at that Harvest moon...that Harvest has indeed come and gone once more as it has ever since God's Creation and we were once again Blessed......Let us all be mindful of these blessings and many more...no matter how small or large....they all remind us of God and his love for us.

This year I am thankful for having a new set of jaws to eat my turkey with. I am thankful for finally being finished with surgery. I am thankful for the wonderful hospital staff that has worked with me for the past two years to make me as free of pain as I can get. I am thankful that we finally have our set of "dream orders" to move to Europe next year, but most of all, I am thankful that I have such a warm, supportive, loving family. Even my cat, the attitude queen! ;-)

I am thankful for all the wonderful, giving and wonderful women I have met in the Southern Women's group. Most of all I am thankful for my son Jeremy and that his health has been good this year. He is the light of my life and my inspiration. His whole life has been spent in and out of hospitals and the final outcome was a wheelchair. He was a very angry young man for the past two years, but this year he is back to the strong, loving, and wonderful son that I know...........that's something to be truly thankful for!

This year is a momentous one for me in more ways than one. I recently passed my five-year anniversary of surviving cancer, which means I am now considered medically cured. What could be better than that? In a few weeks my husband and I will celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary! We didn't have a party on our 25th because I had just finished cancer treatments so this year we're having a small gathering at our house to celebrate both anniversaries.

I am thankful for all the gracious gifts Jesus has granted us this year. My family is all together. We are all healthy, and we all have a warm bed to sleep in tonight. I am also thankful for the loyal, trusting friends God has given me. Even though we are not wealthy, we are truly blessed.

I am thankful for so many things. But the top of the list has to be for our kids, all 6 of them and one of which is with us for his first taste of the holidays. He's only 10 months and a true blessing from above. I feel blessed that the good lord has seen to fit to bless us again with another little one in January . And all our prayers have been answered that my dad make it to see another year. The lord has given him the oppurtunity to fight his cancer and to hopefuly see his new grandchild in the spring when they return from their winter in the south, if it's a boy he will carry my Dad's middle name. Also I feel blessed to have a husband who like it or not stands by me no matter what and puts up with me. But most of all I feel blessed to have them all to love and to share my life with. For without family and my faith in God I would be lost.

First of all, I am thankful that God has sent such a wonderful man into my life to be my partner as long as we live. I am thankful for the fact that we are both blessed with parents who are healthy and love us as much as we love them. I am thankful for our two furry children, Precious and Possum, and the joy and love and fun they bring into our lives each day. I am thankful for good friends who are near and far -- including a whole new world of them I've met over the internet; my life is full of richness because of them. I am thankful that my husband will be home this year for all the holidays instead of being in the Persian Gulf facing war, like he was last year at this time. And I am thankful that God has given me another year to live; it's been a very difficult one for me emotionally and physically between the danger that my husband has been in when he was deployed, losing two very near and dear relatives and having to face flareups with the chronic illness I've had for 45 years now. But the wonderful thing is that God has given me the strength to survive it all, and never give up. He has never failed me, or given me anything but life's richest blessings. So how could I possibly not be thankful on Thanksgiving...and every other day? No matter how bad things may get, there's always someone worse off than we are; and I've been blessed to look for that silver lining behind every cloud. And, sooner or later, it's always there. I've come to know that, as long as I look for it, God will put it there! I wish all of you the most joyous Thanksgiving this year, and would like to add one thing -- if you can count as much as one blessing, then share it with someone who has none; not only will it increase your joys, but it will help them as well!

I have so much to be grateful for this year that it ishard to know just where to begin. So I will just have to pick aplace and get started. I have been blessed with two children--afifteen-year-old daughter and a ten-year-old son, whom I love more than life itself. They can present me with trials from time to time, but there isalways a lesson to be learned for each of us.I have been blessed with a second chance in love. After the end of a seventeen year marriage, I felt like a failure and totally unloveable. But time has brought healing to my heart and a wonderful man into mylife. We will be getting married on New Year's Day 1999. I have been blessed with the chance to finally go back to school. I am a freshman at Lamar University-Orange and am majoring in Education. It has taken me until now to figure out what "I wantto be when Igrow up." I have been blessed to be a part of a family that is willing to be there for each other. No matter what happens, I knowthat I can always count on my family. We provide each other with shoulders to cry on, listening ears, moral support, and loveunending. I wouldn't trade my parents (nor even my brothers) for all the gold on earth. God has been so generous to me that I can never thank Him or praise Him enough for all these blessings, and so many more. May He bless you as richly as He has me.
