1 9-inch pie shell (unbaked)
4 large eggs, beaten
1 1/4 cups packed dark brown sugar
1 1/4 cups light corn syrup
1/2 cups melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
24 pecan halves for top

Beat eggs,sugar and salt, mix well. Add syrup,butter and vanilla and mix well. Stir in chopped pecans. Pour into pie shell. Arrange whole pecans on top. Bake at 350 degree oven for about 1 hour. Start testing for doneness after 45 minutes by inserting tip of sharp knife in center of pie and if it comes out clean it's done
