At the age of 5, John knew that all he wanted to do was sing songs, songs that he made up. Songs about his hamster, songs about Godzilla. Songs that reflected his life at that time. His heroes weren’t sports figures or astronauts. His heroes were John, Paul, George, and Ringo.

A few years later when John joined his Grammar School Choir he learned the joy of singing songs that others wrote. After high school he studied performing arts at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City. While studying in Manhattan he had the privilege of being under the vocal tutelage of the legendary Carlo Menotti.

As the years went on, John grew tiresome of searching for material to sing that he could relate to. So, he returned to writing his own songs. Besides being an artistic outlet, writing songs returned John to his true calling in life. Songwriting.

In Blendre, John’s ambitions as vocalist, songwriter, arranger, and instrumentalist are fully realized.
