"So can i see you?" LeighAnne asked Brian softly but before he could say
anything AJ interupted
"Hi GUYS" he said smiling at them and eyeing
Brian with
the slightest hint of a warning.
Clearing his throat Brian looked down
as
LeighAnne looked at them quizically "Actually.....I have to tell you
something....." Brian muttered under AJ's watchful eye.
LeighAnne
nodded "Ok"
she said slowly.
"Uh. . . Cordy is pregnant and I love her" he finally
said
not looking at her.
Taking in a deep breath LeighAnne finally smiled "I
am
happy for you Brian. Truly" she said kissing him on the cheek and then
walking
away.
"Thanks for letting me know Cordy. . .I think. . ." JC said staring at
her.
Smiling she nodded and turned to walk away
"Are you Ok Cordy?" he
asked.
"I
am---I will be." she said looking at him, and in that instant her heart
ripped
softly but she felt tears fill her eyes. She missed him so much. More
than she
could bear. Stiffling a sob that came from nowhere she hung her head.
Watching
her he wanted to take her in his arms. But he knew if he did-he would
never
let her go. Never. So he did the only thing he could. Turn around. He
would
not destroy her honor anymore.
Cordelia stared out the windsheild at the house Brian had bought for
her. Her
prision it had almost become. There was a time when she loved him more
than
life itself. More than JC. Now she didn't know what happened. Somewhere
along
the way he must have done something to make her fall out of love with
him. .
.or was it him? 'Maybe it's me. . .' she thought in pain. Burying her
head in
her hands as she cried softly,
"I am not ready for a baby God. .
.Please. . .I
can't-Not yet" she whimpered.
Stumbling into the house Cordelia wiped at her eyes angrily as she
headed
straight for the kitchen sniffing as the tears continued to curse
silently
down her cheeks she opened the medicine cabinet and pulled out a bottle.
"Shit" she hissed as she opened it to find it gone.
Throwing it
against the
wall she barely heard the clatter it made as it hit a mirror and nicked
it as
it then fell. Crumpling to the ground she rocked herself
"This is your
fault.
You did this!" she yelled to the walls but they didn't answer her.
"This is
your fault. . Your fault. . ." she whimpered as she held herself.
"What
the
hell?" a voice demanded as Cordelia turned her blurry eyes to see a
figure.
"CORDY?" the voice cried out.
Surprised but knowing it was Brian's
voice she
didn't wave him away as he knelt before her. How much time has passed
the
rational part of her mind asked. But she didn't know. She could not see
his
features clearly. He reached his hand out and touched her wet cheek as
he
couldn't stand to see her in so much anguish. Feeling his own heart
ache he
pulled her to him
"My Cordy. . ." he whispered "shh"
Cordelia clung to
him and
let the sobs of ache and greif consume her as she let it fill the air
as Brian
could do nothing but hold her.
