I am a father, husband, artist, and teacher. I have temporal lobe epilepsy and have been clinically depressed off and on for a good portion of my life.
My goal is to help those who suffer from similar conditions. Perhaps someone reading this will make a connection, find something familiar. My intention is to provide hope. Depression is a horrible thing to go through. It not only affects yourself, but also the people you love.
The galleries on this site comprise reflections of my struggle. They are images of my mind constantly freeing itself from the paralyzing bounds of depression and dealing with the mystery of temporal lobe epilepsy. The artwork is an on-going visual record of my experience with both. My descent and triumphant rise from depression and the integration of the TLE is wordlessly recorded. At times the only thing that held the pieces together was art. Thankfully my creative spirit never abandoned me.
My art emerges from a point of light at the fertile center of all existence. An infinite energy source within.
From the pain, beauty was born. From my discoveries I make experience visible.
