Quilts I Have Made

I was asked to make a quilt for the 1997 raffle for the Monroe (Washington) Historical Society. This is the result.
This is the result of a swap on AOL. We swapped purple blocks, using the same pattern. I actually won first place on AOL's first quilt contest in the Group quilt category!
My first applique quilt. Saw the pattern in Quiltmaker, and fell in love with it. Looks great in the diningroom! I did learn that fabrics shrink at different rates, and you should NEVER mix unwashed and prewashed fabrics in the same quilt... especially if you are using fusibles.
When we lived in Nashville, I joined a quilt guild. The Summer of 96 we had a 'brown bag' swap; also known as a round robin. I pieced the middle block; the rest was added to by 5 other members. I think they did a great job!
And this is my result of Malcolm's Mystery Quilt (link is on my main page). It was a gift for a new mom at work. I love bright colors in baby quilts!
Detail of the quilting in the 'sea' area. I used matching metallic threads on the fish, and turquoise rayon thread in the water.

Don't look any further if you don't want to see my versions of Jane Kakaley's Mystery Quilts.

Jane's first mystery. This was a lot of fun, and I looked forward to doing more of her mysteries! (Please forgive the droopy sides; my arms aren't long enough!)That's my dog in front...
Mystery #2 from Jane. I didn't like the first one I made, so I re-did it, and I really like the results! My husband named it "Sunburst".
