Chapter 6

"I'd like you to meet some people." Sakura said. Jason put her down and she winced from the pain, but kept on walking. Sakura led him through the crowd to where Ryu and Ken were talking. "Ryu," Sakura said, "I need you to meet someone." Ryu stopped talking to Ken and looked at Sakura. "This is Jason." she said. "Wow!" Jason said, "Are you the Ryu that almost defeated Bison?" Ryu nodded. "Then you have to help me. Tell me how to beat him."

Ryu looked over at Jason and said, "Why do you want to beat Bison?" Jason said, "he killed both of my parents." Ryu looked Jason over. He was roughly a few inches taller than Sakura, about 5'8. He had dark brown hair slicked back over his head. He had a fairly good build, and was wearing a white gi with black pants, a black belt, and black armguards.

"How old are you?" Ryu asked. "Sixteen." came the reply. "Killing Bison would be extremely difficult, if not impossible to do. I barely escaped death myself when I fought him. The only reason I escaped was because his energy was drained from fighting, and beating, about a dozen other people." Ryu stated, very matter-of-factly. Jason said, "I don't care! I'm going to kill him!One way or another, he will die! Now are you going to help me or not?"

Ryu said, "I'm sorry Jason, I can't do it. I won't let Bison take your life." Jason sighed, turned around and walked away. Sakura turned to go after him, and Ryu put a hand on her shoulder trying to stop her. "Let him go." Sakura shrugged Ryu's hand off and ran after him anyway.

Ryu was about to go after her when he saw a large wooden boat come floating up to the dock through the night fog. It was old, and looked like it was about to fall apart. It had a large dragons' head at the front, and the sails once vibrant orange color had faded to a rust like shade. A boarding plank lowered and the fighters started to pile on.

Early the next morning, on board the Dragon Boat

Although it didn't look like it from the outside, the dragon boat was fairly large. Each fighter found themselves a bed to sleep in.

Sakura woke up, and found that almost everyone was still asleep. She quietly got out of bed, got dressed and walked up to the main deck. It was a cold morning and there were only a few people up. She started to walk around, just taking in the sunrise. She reached the front of the ship and saw a huge island, surrounded by stone pillars hundreds of feet high. As the ship moved, the island blocked the rising sun, casting an eerie red glow around it. They had arrived at Shang Tsung's island.
