With a groan, the rest of the party made qucik work of the staue, returning it to a state of inanimation. Tasgi then cast Fly on all of them and teh flew down the giant pipe. They found Dr. Midnight at the bottom, stuck in a net of some sort. Easily cutting him free, they moved onward.... They came acros a two headed troll apparently having a picnic, after a brief exchange he threw his condiments at them, and it seemed they weren't condiments at all, rather each was an ooze or jelly, and after battling these hideous creatures (and getting rotten teeth in the process), they finally slew th foul liquid creatures. But the cretaures actually slew Rimer and Dr. Midnight as well. Tariel and Tasgi, continued forward, cursing Midnight and cursing the kitten (although he was really cute). They finally found the littel scamp, being carefully tended to by a creature that seemed to be an amalgam of multiple oozes. He introduced himself as Jublix, Demon Prince of Oozes, and cheerfully returned teh kitten, on the stipulation that they let him accompany them to the masquerade ball. Tariel and Tasgi were very confused, but agreed. They brough Rimer and the Good Dr. back from the dead and all attended the ball ( no one told Dr. Midnight who Jubilex really was). Later that eveing while "entertaining" several ladies, Rimer was visited by Jada, who thanked him, and said their debt had been paid. Seems she had screwed up sometiem back and had been sworn to serve Acheroinius. In her plotting to get out of this hellish (ha!) duty, she discovered that Jubilex was on Terratha, and none too happy about it. She sent spies to find out what he wanted, and it seems he just wanted some love and companionship (for now). She asked the party to bring him to the ball, as he really wanted to go, but didn't have an invite. Since she had done this great favor she wodul now be promoted within the ranks of tanarri. She wished them luck, and with an evil laugh, vanished. Rimer's desire to entertain also vanished. They all awoke the next morning and prepared to return to the City that Waits to finish te riddle, and over breakfast with teh mook, he introduced them to two friends of his who woudl be willing to accompany them, jaxon Kith, a gladiator from Antioch Arena and his companion, an elven adventurer....
