As far as the show goes, here in the south we have our fair share of Vampires (for instance, White Wolf, the creators of Vampire: The Maskerade, are located in Stone Mountain, and of course there is Newt Gingrich), so I'm always glad to see a few more of 'em turned into mulch.

Stuff about you: For anyone who doesn't know, the name "Macho Macho Man" was chosen totally on a whim. I was watching "The Witch" when I posted for the first time, and Buffy was singing that song when I was trying to think of a name. At the time, I had no idea that this was going to grow into such a strong community, and that I'd be tagged "macho" for life. But it could've been worse. If I posted at a different time during "The Witch", I might have posted as "brownie pigout", "stone cold vengeance spell", or "fertility statue". So I guess "macho" is fine by me.

Stuff about you: Sure you want to know this stuff? Okay, I'm in my late youth (46), married with child. My husband and daughter are both BtVS fans and have come with me to Bronze gatherings. I work at a large urban college where I manage the office of the faculty and staff union. I majored in ancient history and medieval lit in college. My interest in those fields shows up in my posts from time to time. I write fanfic, lots and lots of fanfic, most of it highly unsuitable for impressionable young minds. Stuff about me:
Well, I'm really not all that interesting...my RL job is schlepping coffee at Starbucks. It can be a fun job when I'm not getting burned or when the customers are behaving themselves. My goal is to work in animation or special effects, I'm in the process of applying to schools right now. I've been an artist all my life, I had my first public showing of one of my pieces at the Las Vegas Museum of Art last year. I'm a total bookworm, I'm currently reading "The Letters of Vincent Van Gogh." It's a collection of letters written to his brother before his suicide. It gives a real insight into the man and the madness that produced some of the most amazing works of art ever. I love Anne Rice and Stephen King...anything wierd, I'll read. I'm also in the process of fixing up my 1973 International Scout II. I know, I know...not a very girlie thing to do... ask me if I care. I'm 22 and I'm currently single (shocker), as the good men tend to fear me and I attract every snake in a ten mile radius (thus the title "the snake charmer"). I listen to a wide variety of music from Nine Inch Nails to Harry Connick, Jr. My favorite movies of all time include, "The Crow", "The Princess Bride", "When Harry Met Sally", and "Strictly Ballroom." I also partake in those cheesy teen movies that no one can help but love like "The Breakfast Club", "Sixteen Candles", "Wierd Science", "Pretty in Pink", and "Empire Records, (well Sinead O'Rebellion, shock me, shock me, shock me with that deviant behavior)". I grew up mostly in rural Texas (fourteen years spent in the Panhandle in towns like Amarillo, Borger,and Fritch is enough to make anyone hostile) luckily I have shed most of that hideous accent although an occasional "Y'all," slips into a conversation. I graduated highschool in the class of '94 from Kingwood highschool in Kingwood TX, a suberb of Houston. I actually liked Houston, though. More culture = less hicks. And now, here I am in Las Vegas, Nevada, a town they should've just built on the surface of the sun it's so d@mn hot. So, here's a little glimpse into Medusa2306....see you at the Bronze!

Stuff about you: When I'm not posting, I'm an editor currently residing in a brand new cubicle. You've probably seen me complain about it. I'm really quite Bashful. And I in no way resemble a gerbil. I'm actually a dog lover. I have a schipperke named Rip and I grew up showing dogs.

I'm a proud member of the Sunnydale Slayers (URL: http://www.enteract.com/~perridox/SunS.html) and I dabble in fanfic, which you can find on the SunS site. Besides Buffy (which is my main obsession these days), I love the X-Files, figure skating (Kurt Browning!), the Orioles (Brady Anderson!), General Hospital, and the theater. My favorite singer is Sarah McLachlan (and has been for about 4 years now).

What I love most about Buffy is the writing and the impressive creative vision behind the show. Besides knowing every episode backward and forward, I know every writer and director. As I said, I'm a writer groupie.

What I love most about the board is the feeling of community and friendship. It's a great group of fun and intelligent people... and it's a great support system. I love my buds!

How you got your PB name: Well, there's no really great story behind this as I was already going by Mesuvius before. I had to register a screen name for AIM so I had to think of something very original. After awhile I just changed Vesuvius to Mesuvius (due to my real name starting with an 'M'). See? Stuff about you: Well, there's not really that much to tell. I'm under 20 (check the Age Game to find out exactly by how much!) but a lot of times it feels like I'm a lot older due to all the experiences I've had. I was born in Tulsa, OK and lived there ever since I moved to Perth, Western Australia a few years ago. I did all of high school in Australia and as of December 1999 I will be a high school graduate (woo hoo!). Next year I will be moving back to America with my 23-year-old sister and we're going to rent an apartment in Raleigh, NC. My dream location at the moment is Boston (MIT!!) and I would absolutely love to go to a PBP (that would only happen if I ended up going to CalTech :)). Stuff about you: I am nominally a human being of 28 years of age. My really wicked-neat birthday is the genesis of the name I use, July the 7th, 1970 or 7/7/70. Some people think it would be cooler if it were 7/7/77, but I just point out that that date was my 7th birthday. I am, not surprisingly unmarried (see pictures). This is not likely to change, so I feel comfortable in adding it to a permanent record. I am currently very deeply occupied in becoming a motion picture producer, but work in the music department of a Barnes and Noble to pay the bills until this blessed event comes to pass. I am rabid Doctor Who fan, and will find all sorts of way to work that into conversation (I managed it here!). The first Buffy episode I watched beginning to end was Puppet Show. I fear sharks. Stuff about you: I'm very into Buffy, to an embarassing extent since I just turned 27 (the same age as David and Nicholas, BTW). Married to a non-Buffy fan, whom I love dearly, but they say mixed marriages are hardest on the children. Thankfully, we don't have any. Currently working for Disney, for about three more weeks. Love Japanese Anime, anything by Neil Gaiman, They Might Be Giants (especially "Lincoln"), Tom Jones (the singer, not the novel), Las Vegas, the theater, romantic walks on the beach, hotel rooms and long bubble baths.
