BACKGROUND (extracted from BRUMFIELD HISTORIES by Albert Ray Brumfield and Dell Magee Clawson) David attended Tyler Business College, Peabody College and Louisiana State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture in 1927. He earned most of his education, setting a standard for diligence and scholarship that was remembered in the LSU Ag school a decade later. He received a Master of Science degree in Agriculture from LSU in 1940 after attending summer classes.
David taught school at Pine, Hackley, Varnado, & Bonner's Creek (Louisiana) in the 1920's; Hempstead, Texas in 1928-1929; Noble and Merryville, Louisiana in the 1930's to 1945; and Spring Creek, Louisiana from 1945 to 1962 when he retired.
