 			       The Ankoku Wish…

The Ankoku Bojutsukai was over. Everyone was back at the
Kubikukuri Hotel. The five members of the Urameshi team was in their
room. Resting for the day. 10 days felt like years to them. Yuusuke
Urameshi sighed as he looked up to the horizon through the big glass
window. He won. They won.

"I’ll be over at the girls!" exclaimed a voice. Kuwabara’s loud
happy voice. Yuusuke turned and looked in the big room. Only Hiei,
Kurama who just came out of the bathroom and he himself was left in the
room. "Botan wa doko no?" he asked. Hiei who was lying on the bed with
his back towards Yuusuke didn’t move. Kurama smiled, turning off the
bathroom lights.

He walked to the coffee maker on the table in his blue bathrobe
that looks quite… good on him. "Well, she followed Kuwabara out just
now," answered Kurama, taking out a glass from the cabinet.

"Ah…," Yuusuke nodded in acknowledgement. Then his gaze fell on
Hiei. His youki was level and stable, so Yuusuke thought he was asleep.
"You know Hiei was worried sick about you when you wasted time on
Karasu?" Yuusuke asked.

The coffee pot fell off Kurama’s hands and broke into two on the
ceramic floor. Yuusuke gasped and ran towards Kurama. The fox was
shaking. His feet was bleeding because of the broken glass that fell on
his feet. Yuusuke felt guilty. He wasn’t sure about what made Kurama
react like that. Upon mentioning Karasu’s name or the fire demon’s?

"Your feet are bleeding," Yuusuke crouched as he picked up the
pieces. Upon mentioning that, he could feel a sudden raise of youki. But
then it descended. As if it was masked. :… Hiei! He’s not sleeping. But
why isn’t he coming to help Kurama? And why was he pretending to
sleep? …: Yuusuke thought.

Yuusuke sighed and put the two pieces of glasses on the table. He
put a hand on Kurama’s shoulder. Then instantly, the fox turned and
cried on Yuusuke’s shoulder. Sobbing slightly on him.

Yuusuke patted Kurama’s back soothingly. He didn’t knew what was
the fox grieving about, but he could lend him a shoulder to cry on.

Kurama’s damp hair smelled of roses and his body had a faint scent
of dewberry. :… Fancy …: thought Yuusuke.

Suddenly Hiei got up from bed. "I’m going out, I’m going to check
on Yukina," he uttered and walked to the door. "No, come back!"
exclaimed Yuusuke, But Hiei just ignored him. Kurama could hear the door
being opened and shut off with a soft click.

Yuusuke pushed Kurama up gently, the fox’s face was set to look
down on the floor. Yuusuke sighed, he lead Kurama to the bed and both
sat on the soft mattress.

"Is it about Karasu or Hiei?" Yuusuke asked softly. Kurama sniffed
softly and stifled them back to talk. "B… both," he uttered. Yuusuke
sighed. "Let me hear. Even if I couldn’t help you, at least you’ll feel
better if you let it out," Yuusuke, ever willing to help his friends.

"Why was Hiei so cold? I was nearly dead when I fought with that
monster and he just acted his cool," Kurama started, his watery emeralds
faced Yuusuke’s dark ones. Yuusuke bit his lips. Hiei did acted cool
when it all happened.

He knew the feelings the fox had towards the fire demon. But could
Hiei even feel love? "All he was worried about is Yukina. Who’s
obviously safe with Kuwabara," Kurama continued. Yuusuke nodded. "He was
never worried about me. But me? I’m worried about him all the time…
don’t you think that was stupid of me?" he asked Yuusuke.

Yuusuke recalled the scene when he was making his way back from
training in the woods when he saw Hiei and Kurama. Kurama was holding
Hiei's right arm which was already been paralysed. They were talking,
maybe fighting but he decided to go away before he interrupted anything.

Yuusuke shook his head. "No Kurama, you’re not. It’s good that
you’re worried about him. And I’m sure that he’s worried about you. Just
that he has his own way of expressing it," Yuusuke tried to coax Kurama.

Kurama shook his head and stood up. He brushed imaginary dusts off
his bathrobe and walked to the coffee table. He took a glass of water
and walked to the window gazing out at it. "He doesn’t understand,"
Kurama muttered.

Unaware to both of them, Hiei was standing outside the door.
listening to every word they were saying. It was just an excuse he made
up. But he knew the better side of Kurama. It was about him and if he
was around, the fox wont tell anyone about it. He was wrong. He
understood Kurama’s grief. He understood about his need of emotions to
be shown as a human.

He opened the door very quietly and saw Yuusuke looking at him,
but Kurama was too deep in thoughts to realise him.

Hiei sat on the bed next to Yuusuke. His eyes fixed on Kurama’s
back. "Does he only know how to fight and be the strongest? Now that
he’d achieved that, what else? He had even mastered the legendary Black
Dragon. I don’t see why he would even stay in Ningenkai anymore."

"He’s also one of the Reikai Tantei remember?" reminded Yuusuke.
Kurama let out a bitter laugh. "If he doesn’t want to, no one can make
him," he said softly.

Hiei nodded once at Yuusuke and the other one gave him a look. He
felt like killing Hiei for making Kurama suffer like this. But he didn’t
even have the power to talk aloud. Yuusuke crept out of the room quietly
and closed the door as quietly as he can.

"Do you really think so?" asked a voice. A different one than
Urameshi’s high pitched voice. Kurama instantly turned and saw Hiei
sitting on the place where Yuusuke was sitting a few moments before.

Kurama looked away. Now he’d done it. He didn’t know how much had
the koorime heard him talk about nonsense. "I… I’m sorry," uttered
Kurama, wiping off his tears with the back of his hands. He made himself
busy by walking to the sink and washed the glass he was using together
with the other plates and saucers.

"You really think I wasn’t worried when Karasu was trying to blow
you into pieces?" suddenly Hiei asked. Kurama kept his silent as he
washed the saucers. Then he shut the tap. "You didn’t even care," he
gritted his teeth.

"What?" Hiei was confused. "When I walked out of the ring, Yuusuke
was the only one who helped me, Kuwabara and Koenma was the one who
cheered for me. And what did you do?" Kurama didn’t remembered being
this angry. He wasn’t even angry at Hiei after his tournament with
Karasu. But now the anger suddenly built up.

"I was getting ready for Bui," was the answer. Kurama sighed. He
didn’t mean to raise his voice. "I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to. I was
just… anyway I understand. Bui looked very hard… I understand…," Kurama
walked up to the bed and sat on it, he loosened his bathrobe and
revealed his torso, examining his own wounds. It was bad, though it was
clean now.

Hiei followed suit and sat opposite to the fox. He eyed him
silently. Kurama wasn’t smiling. He never smiled when he was alone, Hiei
realised that. He always have this sad expression when no one was
looking at him. Hiei somewhat felt curious about the fox.

 					***********

Yuusuke appeared in the girls room where everyone was partying.
"Let’s drink!" hollered Atsuko. Yuusuke took the bottle of green liquid
*probably liquor* from his mother. "You guys still have the mood?"
Yuusuke asked as he slumped down on the sofa, gulping down the liquid.

"Did you know Kurama was crying over there?" he asked. everyone
stopped. "Kurama, crying?" they echoed.

Yuusuke banged his fist on the table, causing it to shake. "Why is
he so damn stubborn and cold?!" Yuusuke was practically talking to
himself, gulping another long gulp of the liquid. Definitely liquor, and
a strong one too. He’s already shaking by now. "Who’s stubborn?" asked
Kuwabara, settling next to Yuusuke. "Hiei! He’s so… argh!!! If only I
could kick some senses into him!" Yuusuke threw his arms in the air and
leaned back.

Kuwabara turned to Yukina. "See, even Yuusuke wants to kill Hiei,
Yukina. Never go near to him. He’s dangerous," Yukina blinked at
Kuwabara, but then winced as Botan landed a bottle on Kuwabara’s head.
"Kuwabara! Hiei is not dangerous!" she defended the koorime.

 	Kuwabara pouted.

Yuusuke stood up, throwing the empty bottle on the window and it
crashed. Everyone was silent as Yuusuke made his way to the door. "Where
you going, son?" asked Atsuko, who was as drunk as her son. "To kick
some fire demon’s ass," said Yuusuke, but then he fainted at the door.

 					**********

Kurama tended his wounds carefully. "You missed a spot," said
Hiei, taking Kurama’s hand and guided it to a further point on his neck.
Kurama looked at Hiei, his hand was gentle.

Hiei really cared for him. A pearl of tear rolled off his eye.

"You cared?" he asked softly. Hiei didn’t answer. He took the
cotton from Kurama’s hand and tended Kurama’s wound without a word.
Kurama waited patiently. Hiei would somehow reply his question.

When Hiei was convinced that all the wounded spots were treated,
he pushed Kurama on the bed. He pulled up the covers and covered the fox
until his chin. Kurama’s eyes still searched for an answer in those ruby
ones.

Finally, Hiei sat next to him on Kurama’s right. Kurama could feel
Hiei's ass against his waist with the thick futon in between. Then Hiei
landed his cheek in the crook of Kurama’s neck on the left side. His
nose touching Kurama’s chin.

Hiei's small sturdy hands reached up to brush Kurama’s hair.
"You’re tired," finally Hiei spoke.

Kurama blinked. Was this a dream? Or was his ultimate dream coming
true?

:…"The members in the winning team would get one wish granted," …:
Those words rang in Kurama’s head. He had been wishing for Hiei for a
very long time. Was this the wish that had been granted? The unconscious
wish that was always in his mind?

 	He decided to tell Hiei.

"Hiei," he called softly. "Hn?" was the same delicate weary answer
from the koorime. "Do you know I have always been wishing for you?" asked
Kurama. Hiei stopped breathing. He looked up to steal a glance at
his fox. "The wish I made in the Ankoku Bojutsukai wasn’t my true wish.
About having the lives of all the Ankoku Bojutsukai organisers," he
uttered and straightened up.

 	"Go to sleep," he uttered.

 	"Hiei,"

 	"Hn?"

   	"Don’t go,"

 	"Why?"

Silent… Kurama can’t make himself to say it. Even though Hiei had
been nicer to him, he still can’t make out his true feelings out for
him. It would look as if it was easy but…

Hiei sighed and stood up and walked away. "I’m going to check on
Yukina," he told Kurama. "Again?" Kurama accidentally said aloud. Hiei
stopped on his tracks. "I lied just now. I was just outside listening,"
he said and opened the door, shutting it behind him.

 					************

The party was going on full when he arrived. Yuusuke was sleeping
on the couch with a damp towel on his forehead. Everyone else was
shouting, dancing and cheering.

"Hiei!" exclaimed Botan, Keiko walked over to him and gave him a
punch. *I mean the drink not the physical contact hit* Hiei looked at
everyone who’s giving him a look. He took the drink and walked over to
the window.

Actually, everyone was puzzled. Hiei was actually joining their
party? And Kurama wasn’t with him?

Yukina smiled and walked over to Hiei. She brought the tray of
chips along to offer him some. Kuwabara tried to stop her but Botan held
him. "Let Hiei have friends," she told him. Kuwabara gritted his teeth.

"Hiei-san," called a sweet voice. Hiei turned and looked at
Yukina, a small smile on his face. Secretly, he regretted himself. He
regretted that he was born. This beautiful maiden was suppose to have a
good brother, not a blood thirsty thief like him. The smile disappeared.
If things was the other way around, they would most probably have
childhood memories.

Like what Kuwabara and her sister has… childhood memories…

Yukina handed out that tray to him. "Chips?" she offered. Hiei
shook his head. "I made it myself! Try and tell me how is it. Onegai,"
pleaded Yukina. Hiei sighed. It’s almost as melting as Kurama’s… no
Kurama’s voice didn’t melt him. Hiei shut his eyes. Why is it that
Kurama’s confession kept ringing in his head. And surprisingly, he’s
perturbed by it.

Yukina blinked. "Hiei-san?" she called. Hiei snap opened his eyes.
"Gomen," Hiei uttered, reaching out to grab a handful of chips. He
nodded. "It’s very nice," he told his sister, trying his best to sound
sincere.

Yukina gave him a big smile. "It means a lot to have your
compliment," she chuckled. "Anyway, Kurama-san is not here. I’ll save
some for him," said Yukina and walked away. Everyone seems to remember
Kurama.

 	 				***********

Kurama blinked. He can’t sleep. He wasn’t even tired. Kurama
sighed and got up, he got into his trousers and checked shirt. Leaving
the shirt buttons undone he walked over to the girls room where everyone
else were.

Kurama came and smiled as everyone looked at him. "Kurama!"
exclaimed Kuwabara and ran over to him, giving him a firm hug. "Glad
you’re alright, pal!" he slapped Kurama lightly on his back.

Kurama nodded and gestured at Yuusuke. "Oh, he’s so mad at Hiei
that he fainted," said Kuwabara. Everyone sweat dropped and Botan lunged
forward and knock Kuwabara with her oar. "Bakayaro!" she sighed.

Kurama blinked. But then Yukina came saving the scene. "Kurama-
san, I made chips. Would you try and then tell me how’s it?" she asked.
"Sure," smiled Kurama and tasted a piece. He smiled broader. "Very
appetising, I must say," he praised the cheerful cherry girl.

:… Yuusuke’s mad at me? …: thought Hiei. But he didn’t let that
bother him. Someone was always mad at him. He knew he had a bad attitude
but didn’t knew what had he done to Yuusuke.

 					*************

Yuusuke woke up a few hours later and the four walked to their
room together.

Yuusuke was already steady now and was sitting uncomfortably on
the bed. Yuusuke shifted uncomfortably and set his eyes to his right,
where Kuwabara was lying down, staring at the ceiling and then to the
left where Kurama was reading on his bed and then to the far left where
Hiei looked as if he was sleeping.

He had asked Keiko about them. But Keiko told him that they hadn’t
even spoken a word to each other at the party. This doesn’t look good.
He straightened up and jumped off the bed.

He walked over to the place between Hiei's bed and the big window
and sat on the floor, leaning on the wall.

"Hiei, I know you’re not sleeping," he said very softly, so no one
else heard. "I’m sleeping," replied the fire demon. Yuusuke rolled his
eyes.

"You have to sleep with Kurama," he told the fire demon. Hiei
cracked open an eye. "And why is that?" he asked. Yuusuke thought for an
excuse. "That… Koenma was going to sleep here. You don’t suppose him
sleeping on the floor, right?" asked Yuusuke.

"He can sleep with you," Hiei closed back his eyes. "No, no… I’m a
rough sleeper. I might kick him while asleep," Yuusuke quickly thought
for a reason.

"So let Koenma sleep with Kurama," Hiei told Yuusuke. The brown
hair boy shook his head. "No, it’s just… it doesn’t go that way,"
Yuusuke reasoned. Hiei opened his eyes. "And you’re saying…?" Hiei
straightened up and eyed Yuusuke lazily.

"I’m saying that… I don’t have to say it! You know what I mean,"
Yuusuke exclaimed.

"Oi, I’m trying to think here," uttered Kuwabara.

Yuusuke ignored him and straightened up. "I don’t like to be
ordered around," Hiei told Yuusuke. Yuusuke sank next to Hiei and
slumped an arm around the fire demon’s shoulder.

"I’m not ordering you… I’m trying to tell you that someone has a
heart for you and…"

"I know that…," Hiei answered casually. "He didn’t told me that he
wanted to sleep with me," Hiei loosened Yuusuke’s arm around him and
laid down. Ignoring Yuusuke.

"Anyway, I know that Koenma is not sleeping here," Hiei told
Yuusuke before pulling up the covers over himself.

Yuusuke put both of his hands on the air. :… I give up! …: he sighed
and walked back to his bed and slept away.

Kuwabara peeped at Yuusuke. "What was that about?" he asked. "I
don’t want to talk about it," uttered Yuusuke and pulled up the covers
over himself.

 					************

Later, everyone was asleep. Except Hiei. He thought about what
Yuusuke said. He closed his eyes. The image of Kurama didn’t go off his
mind but it became worst. He was imagining Kurama doing all kinds of
stuff to him. All kinds of things that was…

He turned and saw Kurama sleeping on the bed next to him. His body
raised up and down slowly in steady rhythm, breathing steadily. Facing
him.

Hiei pushed away the covers and got off his bed. He pulled
Kurama’s covers and slid under it. Snuggling and pushing the fox so that
he would wake up and make place for him.

Kurama stirred. Something was pushing him over. Kurama opened an
eye and quickly snapped open the other one. "Hiei?" he called. Hiei made
himself comfortable as Kurama made place for him.

Kurama blinked. "Why are you here? They’re just next to us!"
Kurama exclaimed in a whisper. Hiei looked up at Kurama. "I honestly
don’t know myself," he reached up and pulled Kurama’s neck, closing his
mouth on the redhead’s one. Kurama blinked in confusion but returned the
kiss. His hands wondered around the naked flesh of Hiei's back.

"But… I… know what… I’m doing," Hiei parted their kiss. He was
delighted that Kurama was only wearing his boxers under the covers. He
breathed in the faint scent of dewberry on Kurama’s chest and made his
hands busy by taking Kurama’s boxers off.

"Hiei…," Kurama blinked. The fire demon was… was actually taking
his boxers off. Hiei reached and stroked Kurama’s length. "You’re so
big," Hiei told Kurama as Kurama’s rod came to live, as hard as a rock.
"Damn you Hiei!" Kurama turned over and pinned the fire demon under him.
"You’re telling me who’s big?" he asked, pulling Hiei's trouser off.

Kurama leaned down and kissed Hiei as he jostled their groin
together. "You’re bigger," Kurama chuckled between their kiss. Hiei
smiled. "You’re the one who made it bigger, it has nothing to do with
me," Hiei said casually. "Oh really?" mused Kurama as he rubbed their
noses together.

"You’re so beautiful," Kurama sighed. "I’m macho," corrected Hiei.
"Nope, beautiful…" insisted Kurama.

As both of them were making such a noise, Yuusuke blinked and
turned, unaware to both of them. Kurama was on top of Hiei supporting
the top part of his body with his hands and let the rest of his body
slump on Hiei’s. The bedcovers were down to Kurama’s hips and they were
having a small talk.

Yuusuke smiled and pulled the covers more until it hid his face.

 	  				**********

 	6.00am…

Kuwabara sighed and flipped off the covers. "Damn I’m thirsty," he
mumbled and walked to the cooler. He opened it and took out a can of
‘Vitagas’, he opened it and sipped the contents.

His eyes wondered around the room and landed on Kurama’s bed. He
blinked. There were two naked beings on the bed and the covers were
halfway down the floor. Hiei was sleeping on Kurama’s chest and half of
his ass was uncovered.

"Oh my god…" he gaped for air. But then he calmed himself down. :…
Calm down, Kazuma… calm down… : he breathed in deeply.

He finished his drink and went in the bathroom, taking his early
wash.

What a sight to greet the early morning!

 	 				***********

Kurama opened his eyes. Faint rays of sunlight were showing
slightly in the eastern horizon. Hiei was on top of him, well… half of
it was though. And the covers had slipped down so much that he would
expose his private assets to the world if Hiei wasn’t on top of him.
Kurama straightened up and looked around. Kuwabara wasn’t on his bed and
there was water running in the bathroom.

Kurama blinked. Kuwabara must’ve saw them like this!

"Hiei, get up," Kurama gritted his teeth. Hiei opened his eyes and
yawned. "What?" he mumbled, then landed his head back on Kurama’s chest.
"Kuwabara’s up," he uttered. Hiei blinked. "So?" asked Hiei, his eyes
were closed.

"You weren’t covered, the bed covers were off and he must’ve seen
you," Kurama told the fire demon. Hiei thought for a while. :… Wait a
minute… Kuwabara, saw my ass? …: Hiei got up, he looked around for his
trousers and got in it.

 	"I’m… I’m sorry… yesterday… I…," Hiei tried to find the words but
it got lost in his head. The image of them having their love expressed
was playing in his head. Kurama sighed and smiled. "There’s nothing to
be sorry about. I love it… I love you."

Hiei stopped himself. "Are you sure?" he asked the redhead. Kurama
nodded. Hiei bit his lips. He didn’t knew what to say. Kurama wrapped
his arms around Hiei’s neck and gave him a deep kiss.

 	And at that time…

Kuwabara opened the bathroom door and was feasted by a scene…

He instantly flip over and fell right on his head. "Damn…" he
groaned.

Kurama and Hiei chuckled and Yuusuke woke up out of the commotion…

"Umm…? what happened?" he asked, his voice was heavy of sleep.
Kuwabara got on his feet and studied Kurama and Hiei. He blinked.
"Please wake me up if I’m in a dream…" and he fainted.
