           		      Together… Forever…

Part One

"Do you all understand?" Koenma asked, blinking his eyes
frantically. "Kuchibue ga kikoeru… kinou yori mo tou kude…" sang someone
softly. Koenma sweatdropped. Something big was actually happening to
them and someone was actually singing?

Obviously, everyone knew it was Hiei's voice. The toddler lunged
forwards and their noses nearly touched. "Hiei! This is serious!!! If
you loose this fight, you might be a youkai sandbag until you die!" Hiei
shifted on the table he was sitting on, rolling his eyes.

Kurama and everyone else sweatdropped. Hiei got up, merely
ignoring what was happening, especially Koenma. "Why should I join you
all?" he asked. "Because Toguro…" Kurama started, but he was cut by
Hiei. "I hate you! Why are you such a busy body?" Hiei snapped. Kurama
was taken aback. Of course Hiei hated everyone, but Kurama didn't expect
Hiei to hate him too.

"I'm going to take away your parole and let you stay in the Reikai
Dungeon!" Koenma said aloud as the youkai walked to the door with the
least interest.

That did it, the youkai in the black cloak stopped. "Hiei…"
Yuusuke called out tactfully. Hiei turned, but he didn't face Yuusuke.
Instead, he faced Koenma. "I'll train with Kurama. You worry about the
5th member," He said and got out, slamming the door.

Koenma closed his eyes. "I wish you guys luck. Train hard for this
two months. This is not an easy fight," Koenma reminded them. They
nodded and left.

"What a way to agree," Yuusuke mused at Hiei as the three of them
walked out of the Reikai Imperial Palace. "Hey! I am going to train with
you right, Kurama?" Kuwabara suddenly remembered, scratching his head.
Kurama smiled. "Yeah, after school? The forest nearby?" Kuwabara nodded
in agreement. "But what about Hiei?" he asked. Kurama chuckled. "Shimpai
suru na. Hiei just told Koenma that he would train with any of us just
to get out of the room. He won't appear. I know him," Kurama ran a hand
through his hair.

"Oh, good then," Kuwabara sighed in relief. "Yuusuke, you going to
Genkai-baasan's?" he asked.

Yuusuke sighed. "There's the only place I can go and improve
myself," he grinned.

"Anyway, it was such a surprise to hear Hiei said that he hated
you," Kuwabara said. Kurama was silent. Yuusuke buried his elbow deep in
Kuwabara's ribs. "Ouch! What was that for?" asked Kuwabara. "Baka na!"
Yuusuke shouted at him.

 				***********

After school the next day, Kurama turned down a few tuition
requests with an excuse to help his mother and waited for Kuwabara in a
forest nearby.

He sat on the ground and leaned on a tree, he opened his book and
started to read while waiting for the carrot top guy.

Halfway through the book, Kurama was suddenly covered by a shadow.
He looked up and saw a big guy, grinning from ear to ear. "Gomen ne… I
was late. Hahaha," he apologised. "Daijobu," Kurama got up and put his
book away.

Kuwabara opened his jacket and threw it aside. "So, how do we
start?" he asked excitedly. Kurama thought for a while. "First, you have
to raise your reiki, so that you can see the fast actions and dangerous
youki that comes your way," Kurama explained. Kuwabara digested it, the
understanding redhead waited for a while as Kuwabara registered
everything in his head.

When Kurama thought that he was ready, the redhead retied his sash
and run his hands through his hair. Kuwabara readied himself by getting
into a stance.

Kurama sat down. Kuwabara blinked in confusion. The redhead youko
smiled. "Every fighting practise is to start by raising reiki or youki.
In order to do that, you have to meditate for a while. Not fight your
heart out," Kurama explained.

"Oo…" Kuwabara nodded and followed what Kurama did.

"Concentrate, centre your spiritual powers to your stomach and try
to supply it back to every part of your body," Kurama ordered. Kuwabara
tried hard. Very hard to achieve it.

Three days. Three days later, Kuwabara got the feel. He could feel
himself getting stronger.

On the forth day, they started physical contact practise. Kurama
made his attacks light and easy to tolerate with Kuwabara's reiki.

"Don't forget your block while attacking!" Kurama exclaimed as he
lunged forward and hit Kuwabara right on the bare uncovered stomach. He
was thrown a few metres to the back. "Yo, Kurama! Be light!" he winced.
"Gomen ne!" Kurama went after Kuwabara, helping him up.

"Saa… let's get some food, ne? I'm starved," Kurama smiled.
Kuwabara put on his jacket and nodded.

 				************

After the ramen treat, Kurama went home. "Tadaima!" he hollered
when he came in his mother's room. Shiori smiled. "Shuuichi, okaeri…!"
his mother smiled. She was still weak. Kurama cleared off the empty
bowls by the bed and helped his mother ate her medicine. After he
tucked his mother back to sleep, he went to change into his sleeping
attire.

It had been four days since he started training with Kuwabara. And
still no signs of Hiei or whatsoever. Kurama leaned on the window,
breathing in the fresh cold winter air. It seldom snows in Tokyo though,
only chilly freezing sensations.

:… Did Hiei really meant it when he said he hated me? …: Kurama
wondered. Suddenly Kurama startled and took a step back. He blinked at
the figure that appeared on his window. The figure in black made his
entry graceful and shut the widow behind him.

Kurama blinked. "Hiei?" he called. Hiei shook his wet hair and
took off his wet cloak. Kurama wanted to complain but something else
stopped him from that. "What happened?" he asked, really carefully. The
fire youkai might just snap at him for nothing.

"I was walking my way here and someone poured water on me," he
told the redhead. Kurama crouched and took the wet cloak and scarf.
Suddenly, a cold sensation was felt on his neck. Metal. A sharp metal,
ready to slid through it, waiting to draw blood any second now.

Kurama stopped on his tracks. "What are you doing?" asked the fire
youkai. "I'm taking this to dry it in the bathroom," Kurama said softly,
tired. Hiei took his katana off Kurama's neck and put it aside.

When Kurama came back a few moments later, Hiei was already
sitting on the foot of his bed. Kurama made himself comfortable and sat
on his chair. "Practise?" Kurama asked. Hiei shook his head.

"Remember I told you I hate you?" Hiei asked. Kurama nodded once.
"Itakeitback," Hiei said softly. Kurama frowned. "Pardon?" he asked. "I
said, I take it back," Hiei repeated himself. "Oh," Kurama nodded. A
small smile crept on his face.

Kurama walked over to his bed, he sat opposite to Hiei and
set his alarm clock. 6.30 a.m.
Kurama put down his alarm clock and looked at Hiei. "You didn't
came here just for that, did you?" he asked the youkai. Hiei looked
away. He took both of his legs and crossed them on the bed. "So, you're
spending the night here?" Kurama asked.

"Kurama…" Hiei called. "Em?" asked the redhead. He leaned closer
to hear what Hiei wanted to say. "Can I… can I…" he paused. Kurama
arched his brow. "Forget it," Hiei sighed. "No, tell me," he smiled.
Hiei blinked. Kurama was so beautiful.

"Can I… touch you?" was the question that came out. Kurama arched
his brow. "Touch me?" Kurama pondered aloud. His mind was debating over
what Hiei wanted to touch. :… Kurama, you naughty boy! …:

Hiei nodded, he was blushing heavily. Kurama thought for a while.
All the while since they had been friends, it was always Kurama who
touched Hiei. Touch as in treat his wounds and all. But Hiei never
touched him.

Kurama smiled and reached out his hands. "Touch me then if you
wish," Kurama smiled. Hiei tried to look into Kurama's emerald eyes. But
he looked away and bit his lips.

He raised his hand and hesitated. Then the tip of his fingers
touched Kurama's palm. He ran his finger over it slowly. "Soft," he
commented. Kurama smiled.

"Why did you want to touch me?" Kurama asked. Hiei blinked.
"You're beautiful?" Hiei replied. Kurama chuckled. "Nope, wrong," Kurama
told the youkai. He just found a chance to tease the fire youkai. Hiei
frowned. "Why not?" he asked. "Because you like me," Kurama smiled.

Hiei shook his head. "Jyodan janai no," Hiei snorted. "I'm not
joking. If you don't like me, you won't even bother to talk to me,"
Kurama told the youkai. He took Hiei's hand and guided him to sleep next
to him. "You are spending the night here, right?" Kurama smiled.

 	Hiei followed without a word.

Part Two

Sensui Shinobu ran a hand through his hair. He got a very good
grade for his final exam. First. What more could he ask for? :… Another
year of school, then I can concentrate on being a full-time Reikai
Tantei …: he thought.

Walking back from school, he took the longer path through the
forest so that he can enjoy more of the nature. Then something
distracted him. Youki. He frowned. "Any traces of demon should be
demolished," he gritted his teeth.

Then Koenma sent a telepathic message to the boy. "Sensui! There's
a youkai nearby. It's very injured! While some evil youkai were being
arrested, he was caught in the middle of the fight. Something wrong
happened and he was accidentally thrown to the Ningenkai. Save him!" was
Koenma's orders.

Sensui frowned and walked closer to a bush nearby. Behind it, he
found a figure in white and red laying limp on the ground. Shaking.

Sensui crouched and turned the youkai over. He gasped. For before
his eyes, was the most beautiful face he had ever seen. Pale and smooth
skin, a perfect nose, a small mouth and turquoise coloured hair. He reached
out to stroke it. Soft.

The being opened it's weary eyes. Golden watery orbs appeared.
"………" Sensui smiled. "What are you called?" he asked. The being blinked
once and tried to talk. "I… Itsuki…" he answered. "Itsuki, ne? Well…
don't worry, I'll get you somewhere safe," Sensui picked up the slender
youkai in white flowing attire.

 				************

Itsuki opened his eyes. He was covered to his chin by a blanket.
It was warm and comfortable. Suddenly there was a sound of something
being opened and then shut. The person he saw before appeared with a
soft smile on his face.

"Daijobu?" he asked as he sat next to Itsuki. He nodded. "Daijobu,
okage sama de," Itsuki smiled. Sensui nearly melted. :… You're very
beautiful …: he nearly blurted out. "Are you hungry?" Sensui asked, he
reached over to stroke Itsuki's hair. Itsuki shook his head. "Not
really," he answered. "Oh, we'll catch something to eat later then,"
Sensui smiled.

Itsuki straightened up and the blanket slipped down, revealing
Itsuki's flawless torso. The wounds had disappeared. "You're recovering
fast," Sensui commented. Itsuki smiled. "I am a youkai after all,"
Sensui nodded. "What flowers do you like?" he suddenly asked. Itsuki
blinked. "Flowers?" Sensui nodded. "Hai, hana," Itsuki smiled. "Lilies."

Sensui's face lit up like a candle. "Honto? Look what I got for
you!" he took out a bouquet of lilies from behind him and shoved it to
Itsuki. "Doumo," Itsuki took it and inhaled it's petals. No sweet scent
like roses but still it's his favourite flower.

"I… I like you," Sensui suddenly confessed. Itsuki smiled and
nodded. "I like you too," he told the boy.

"Can I go back to Makai?" suddenly Itsuki asked. Sensui felt a bit
hurt that Itsuki wanted to go back. So fast even. "You have to wait
until the spin of the dimensions opens up a portal to Makai. Since you
just got here, you'll be stuck here for a while," Sensui told Itsuki.

"Ja, then I can see you longer," Itsuki smiled. Sensui smiled.
"You can stay here," he offered. Itsuki nodded. "I'm very happy to meet
you. If I weren't in the middle of the fight, I wouldn't be able to meet
you," he smiled and lunged forward to kiss Sensui.

Sensui blinked but then he returned the kiss. His first kiss.

 				***********

"Come in!" Koenma said aloud, still stamping on the papers. Itsuki
and Sensui walked in, holding hands. Koenma looked at them. He stopped
his work and blinked. "Sensui, I just asked you to save him… what did
you do after that?" Koenma asked.

Sensui smiled. "Nothing," Koenma sweatdropped. They looked so
engrossed in each other. Sweet though.

"Oh… Itsuki can join you to be a Reikai Tantei. What about it?"
Koenma asked Itsuki. Itsuki looked at Sensui's lightened face.
"Mochiron! Doumo, Koenma-sama," Itsuki thanked the small Prince of
Death.

 Owari… ^_^;

The first part is just another short fic about Hiei and Kurama. Got some
of the phrases from Kurunoe no Miko's Fic. I hope she don't mind.

The second part is just a short hypothesis of how Itsuki and Sensui got
together. ^_^. Please no flames… I'm already being charred by Hiei's
Kokuryuu… Inspired by a picture of Itsuki wearing a yellow coloured
Tuxedo holding a bunch of lilies and Sensui wearing a purple tuxedo I
saw in the Music Battlehem 2 CD. Kawaii jan…!!
