Living in a Tangled Skein

Chapter Two

By the time they reached back to the temple was around 6 p.m. With the girls all tired and messy, they practically laid flat on the futon. “You all rest for a while. We’ll call when dinner’s ready,” Kuwabara smiled. “Hai, arigatou,” Shina said and shut the door.

Kuwabara went out the temple and took out his hand phone. :… Kuwabara has a hand phone as well? …: Hiei frowned. “Ne… Yukina-chan? Doko iru no?” Kuwabara asked when the phone was picked.

Hiei frowned. :… Of course at home… or else how could she possibly picked up the phone? Baka……: Hiei snorted.

“Oh, at the supermarket? … On your way? … Oh that’s good! Take care! Ja!” Kuwabara grinned. :… At the supermarket? That means she has a handphone as well …: Hiei frowned and laid back on the tree.

“…No! but are you sure there are replacements for those workers?” Hiei turned around to see Yuusuke talking with a hand phone. :… This is sick everyone owns one! …:

Hiei was jealous. Everyone has one. Kurama, Kuwabara, Yuusuke, Yukina even! This was not fair, He wanted one as well.

  After dinner…

“Anyone of you want to get anything from the mall?” Kurama asked the girls.

  “Chocolates!”

 “Junk food!”

  “I need Coke!”

Kurama laughed. “Okay, okay… you guys list down what you want so I can get it for you coz I’m going to the mall,” he gave Ayami a pen and a paper he got from his bag.

“Yay!” the girls rushed to tell Ayami what to write on it.

Hiei watched as Kurama came to sit next to him. “Do you want to come with me, itoshii?” Kurama asked, running a finger on Hiei’s cheek. Hiei smiled. “Sure,” he laid on Kurama’s lap. “Wake me up later,” the han-koorime turned inwards and slept.

Kurama smiled. Such a sweet han-koorime; How could he imagine his life without him?

Later the girls came up to Kurama and gave him the list. “Here is it!” Yume giggled, handing Kurama a list of things and a substantial amount of money. Kurama blinked. “This much?” he blinked. They all nodded. Kurama smiled, putting the list and money in his pocket. “Okay… Ne, Hiei… okiru yo,” Kurama tried to get the han-koorime up, by lifting his arms, but the han-koorime fell against Kurama’s chest, immediately wrapping his arms around Kurama’s middle. “Carry me,” he uttered, still with his eyes shut.

“Hiei, you’re as tall as I am now. I couldn’t possibly do what I did 10 years ago,” he smiled at the sleepy han-koorime. Hiei mumbled something and kept his arms firm around Kurama. Kurama sighed and patted Hiei’s head. “Baby,” he uttered and carried the lithe han-koorime with him to the car.

The girls whined. “Gods, Hiei-san’s so cute!!” Yuuki commented. “Kurama-san’s so lucky…” Hanaya smiled. “Hiei-san is lucky as well to get Kurama-san,” Yume giggled. Riko snorted. “You guys… control yourself,” she smiled. “Oh, don’t tell me you don’t feel jealous,” Shina blinked. Riko shrugged. “I don’t feel jealous. I feel happy for them,” she walked out of the room.

Her eyes landed on Kurama carrying Hiei with the latter wrapping his arms and legs around the redhead going down the stairs of the temple. A small smile crept on her face. “Sweet couple…”

Hiei woke up when the harsh wind hit his face. Kurama turned and saw Hiei waking up. “Up already, Hiei? Good, we’re reaching the mall,” Kurama smiled. The moonlight twinkled his brilliant emerald gems. :… He’s so beautiful …: Hiei commented in his thoughts, smiling at the redhead.

“Why such a smile, Hiei-koi?” Kurama asked, turning into the parking lot. Hiei pointed at an empty space and Kurama turned into it perfectly. “Because you’re so beautiful,” Hiei told the redhead, undoing the strap of the seat belt.

“Honto ka na…” Kurama trailed off, getting out of the car. Hiei shut the door and turned to Kurama. “Nan da? Shinji ga ranai ne?” Hiei asked. Kurama laughed. “Iya, iya… Hiei wa ii no itoshii da… Of course I trust you,” Kurama walked away from the car heading towards the lobby.

Suddenly Kurama was pushed to the back of the car; Hiei’s sturdy hands shut his mouth. “Shinji re ru ka?” was the question. Kurama blinked and admired their position. Their nose nearly touched and Hiei’s body was pinning his. He reached up to uncover his mouth. “Honto ni… shinji re ru yo…” he licked Hiei’s lips. The han-koorime smiled and leaned forward to kiss the redhead.

“Nani suru no?” suddenly a voice asked. Kurama and Hiei were startled and separated their embrace. A policeman in his fifties was asking them. “Nan de mo nai yo, omawari-san… gomen nasai,” Kurama uttered an apology in a feminine voice and pulled Hiei away.

“Why so fast?” Hiei asked. Kurama smiled. “You don’t want both of us being charged for displaying indecent attitude and homosexuality in public, do you?” the redhead asked, standing on the elevator which was carrying them up the first floor from the car-park. Hiei smiled. “Making love in a lock-up. Sounds cool,” Hiei grinned. “Gods!” Kurama swatted Hiei’s butt as they reached the first floor.

“Supermarket e ikimashou ne,” Kurama asked. Hiei nodded and followed the redhead. His eyes suddenly landed towards a shop, which displayed a number of interesting looking hand-phones. “Kurama…!” Hiei suddenly pulled the young man’s hand.

“Nan da?” Kurama asked, turning around. “I want that,” Hiei stated. Kurama smiled. Hiei sounded like what he was 10 years ago. But then, it was with candies. Now…

“Ano Hiei… what would you want a hand-phone for?” Kurama asked. “Well… everyone has one. You, Yuusuke, Kuwabara even Yukina…” Hiei reasoned. Kurama blinked. “You need to have a more reasonable answer than that, koi…” Kurama trailed off.

“Demo…” Hiei sighed. Suddenly something hit Kurama in the brains. It took him 15 years to realize the love between them and he’s not going to let this small matter make Hiei having a grudge against him; No way.

He took Hiei by the waist and dragged him over the showcase. “Yes, miss… can I help you?” asked a lady. Kurama turned around and blinked. “I’m looking for a nice phone for him,” Kurama said firmly as to emphasize his male alto voice; although it still sounded sweet and gentle.

“Oh, sorry sir… which model do you like?” she asked. Hiei was looking for a nice one. Kuwabara had a ‘Startec V’ by ‘Motorola’. Yuusuke had the ‘Nokia 3210’. Yukina had the ‘SONY CMD-C8’. Kurama had the ‘Nokia 8850’ and he planned to have… the same this as Kurama!

“That!” He pointed. Kurama blinked. “Hiei, that’s similar to mine,” Kurama smiled, a sweatdrop forming on his forehead. “Precisely,” Hiei smirked. Kurama blinked again. “That’s 120,740yen Hiei…” Kurama told the han-koorime.

Hiei looked at Kurama then leaned forward for a kiss. Kurama ran an unconscious hand over his hair and sighed. “Okay, that one,” Kurama told the lady. She smiled. “What color would you prefer?” she asked. “Silver? Like his,” Hiei uttered. The lady nodded and went behind the counter to tell another guy something. The guy nodded and disappeared behind to the office.

Kurama was sitting on the chair while waiting when Hiei got satisfied of looking at all the hand-phones and came to sit on Kurama’s lap. “Are you mad at me?” Hiei asked. “What the hell for?” Kurama frowned in surprise that Hiei would ask such a question.

“Because I wanted a phone just like you,” Hiei rested on the crook of Kurama’s neck. “Oh Hiei…” Kurama pecked Hiei’s cheek. “I would love to buy you one. It’s good that I got my salary already to get you that phone,” Kurama giggled as Hiei playfully bit his ears.

“Excuse me,” the lady called. Kurama turned around and the lady saw Hiei biting on Kurama’s ears. She blushed and asked. “What line would you want?” Kurama smiled. “Maxis 012,” he told the girl. She nodded and went back.

“What’s that?” Hiei asked. “It’s the connection line. Yuusuke, Kuwabara, Yukina and I are using it,” Kurama told the han-koorime. Hiei shrugged. “Whatever,” the han-koorime was contented on Kurama’s ears.

“Here it is…” the lady came back with a box and a hand-phone. “The number is 012-XXX1167,” she smiled. Kurama nodded and took his own hand-phone out, placing the number in it.

“Card or cash?” she asked. “Card please,” Kurama smiled as he gave the lady his credit card. Hiei looked at his phone and smiled. “So how do you use it?” he asked. Kurama smiled and explained to Hiei while the girl processed the payment. He also changed the ringing tone to another song.

‘Pii ririri’ (The tone of Kuchibuega Kikoeru)

Kurama took out his phone and answered. “Moshi-moshi…? Ahh… Yuusuke… yeah, still in the supermarket getting the stuffs for the girls… is it? Yeah… we’re coming home soon…” Hiei frowned. “Tell him my number and ask him to call,” Hiei told the redhead.

Kurama laughed and nodded. “…ne Yuusuke, take down this number… XXX1167 try it… okay,” he pressed a button and kept it in his pocket. “Where’s the 012?” Hiei asked. “You don’t need that if you’re using the same 012 connection,” Kurama smiled. “Oh…” Hiei took a bar of chocolate and piled it in the trolley.

‘Piririri’ (The tone of Koori No Naifu O Daite)

“Hehehe!! It’s ringing!” Hiei laughed. “Pick it up!” Kurama smiled. Hiei flipped open the phone and pressed a button. “Ne?” he asked.

“Hiei?” Yuusuke asked from the other side of the line. “Hahah!! I own a Nokia 8850 as well,” he told the guy. “Hiei! 8850 costs more than 100,000 yen!” Yuusuke shouted from the other side of the line. Hiei laughed. “I want the same thing as Kurama,” he grinned. “Gods Hiei! He’s spoiling you rotten! This is not fair!” Yuusuke laughed. “Life sucks, face it… hehe… ne, Kurama’s paying for the things. Talk to you later,” with that he pressed a button and walked towards Kurama.

“What happened?” Keiko asked. They were all watching TV. “Hiei got a Nokia 8850,” Yuusuke told his wife. “Nan da?” Yuusuke’s baby girl walked up to him and asked. “What’s a Nokia 8850, touchan?” she asked. “It’s Nokia’s most expensive phone in its range. That Hiei…” Yuusuke smirked.

“Who bought it?” Kuwabara asked. “Kurama,” Yuusuke answered. “Nani? Kurama-san actually bought 8850 for Hiei?” Riko asked. Yuusuke nodded. “That’s… so… unfair!!” all of them shouted.

Yukina tucked her daughter to sleep after helping with Keiko’s children; it was then that she felt Hiei’s youki around.

She walked into the living room with the girls giving out their things from the supermarket bag and Hiei crawling to Kurama. She watched her brother as he got in between Kurama’s knees, leaning on the latter’s chest, playing with something silver.

She came closer and smiled. “Ne, Yukina… come here… see my new phone,” Hiei gestured from Kurama’s chest. Yukina sat next to Hiei and Kurama and looked at the silver rectangular object, a hand-phone. “It’s a Nokia 8850,” Hiei smiled. “Koi… you have been uttering the phrase ‘Nokia 8850’ for the whole night! Please change it,” Kurama complained.

Hiei was oblivious to what Kurama was mumbling. He showed Yukina the white illumination and asked for Yukina’s number.

Kurama sighed and straightened up, planning for the night. “Minna, oyasumi,” Kurama greeted, going out of the room. “Oyasumi, Kurama-san!” the girls replied, still eating the junk food and watching some mid-night soap opera.

Hiei smiled as he stored Yukina’s number in his new phone. “Ne, Kurama… I got Yukina’s number,” he said, intending to tell the redhead. But when he got no response, he turned around. “Ne, niichan… Kurama went to bed already,” she smiled. Hiei’s brow knitted together. “Dou yo?” he got up and went out.

“Hiei-san is so kawaii! Don’t you think so?” Yume sighed, attaining the question to everyone. “Oh, don’t we all think the same?” Riko smiled. Yukina nodded. “I’m proud to have such a nice brother,” she got up. “Oyasumi, minna-san!” she told them, walking towards the door. “Oyasumi, Yukina-san! Ban-gohan o arigatou gozaimashita!” they chimed. Yukina smiled and nodded. “Dou itashimashite, minna,” she went out and closed the door.

Hiei slid open the door and blinked. It was dark inside but he could sense Kurama’s youki. He slid the door shut and walked towards the futon in the dark. When his feet touched the soft futon, he knelt and crawled, his fingers searching for the smooth skin supposedly lying on the futon.

Finally he found the supple bottom he was searching for. “Ne, Kurama?” he called, resting his cheek on the round ass. “Nani?” the soft alto asked in the dark. “I thought…” he left his words trailing to hint the redhead. But there were no answers. “Were you mad at me?” he asked the same question for the second time that night. “No,” was the short and abrupt answer.

Hiei pouted in the dark. Maybe his Kurama was a little bit angry at him. The Jaganshi left Kurama’s ass and crawled to sleep properly, spooning the redhead. His arms wrapped around the slim waist as he breathed in the sweet rosy smell in his hair.
