Days Until the start of the 2007 hurricane season!

Come on in and get some sand in your shoes!

HI! Welcome to my site! My name is Glenn. I'm a 44 year old Alabama native. In December of 1998, I moved from Huntsville, Alabama to the Outer Banks of North Carolina .

Most of my life, I've worked in radio and television. Currently, I'm working from home on my own business. You see, recently, with a little help from my friends, I've been able to fulfill a lifelong dream, by creating my own production company, called As You Wish Productions, inc. Our first project was to produce a series of self-guided tours, on audio cassette and CD, for the Outer Banks. Once we've finished the series of tapes and CD's for the Outer Banks, we'll be doing tours for other locations. We're a young company right now, but we're growing! If you want to know more about our self-guided audio tours, click here!

In my spare time, which I have very little of these days, I enjoy several hobbies. I am a member of flotila 16-07 of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Our flotilla is based at Coast Guard Station Oregon Inlet. I am a moderator of a mailing list about the Outer Banks. I also enjoy using my computer, walking in the woods (and on the beach), caving (also called spelunking), travel, listening to my scanner (especially now that I have a much more extensive list of frequencies for the Outer Banks of NC!), listening to music (mostly oldies rock n roll and novelty music, though I am beginning to learn the blues, and my girlfriend has shown me that there was actually music made after the mid 70's), and genealogy. I am also a ham radio operator (73 de KC4SJU), and can be found on 2 meters and 10 meter voice.

I have several other interest that I don't have the time or money for, at least, not yet!

Since I am a man, I also enjoy watching sports on TV. (Little joke, there...ok, very little!) I am a big fan of the Atlanta Falcons and the Atlanta Braves, and the Norfolk Admirals, but, being a native of Alabama, you'd have to expect that my real passion as far as sports is concerned has to be the Alabama Crimson Tide!

As for the title of the page, the space reference comes from the fact that I lived in the Huntsville, Alabama area before moving here, and Huntsville is the home of the Marshall Space Flight Center, the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, and the first and best Space Camp. Huntsville is where NASA has tested all it's engine designs, from the shuttle engines, all the way back to the Redstone. It's also where Dr. Werner Von Braun was first stationed when he arrived in the U.S., and is really where NASA began...

Since I am a weather junkie, I created a page where you can find weather-related info. You'll find it here.

My links page is here. Recently, I added a poll to my site, so I can find out what the rest of you think! I'll be adding to and changing this site as I learn more about webpage design, so check back once in a while. You never know what you'll find here! If you have any comments or questions about what you see here, please feel free to e-mail me!
