If you're ever in Prescott, the Sharlot Hall Museum is a must. Prescott was the territorial capital of Arizona and the Sharlot Hall Museum gives you an idea of what Arizona was like around the turn of the century and into the 1920's. Sharlot Hall was a spokes person for the territory in Washington D.C. prior to Arizona becoming a State. The museum also has the territorial "Govenors Mansion". A School house from that era and a great display of original branding irons and ladies side saddles.

These are pictures of the territorial governors mansion. An inside look shows you the life style and furnishing from the early 1900's. There also is a display of how the house was built and the tools that were used.

This is the enlisted mens quarters in the "Govenors Mansion". They had all the comforts of "home" when staying here.

As you can see furnishings were limited. This is the "Dining Area" in the Mansion. There wasn't any need for an elaborate setting.

Granite Dells is just outside of Prescott at state hwy 87 and 87A. This is the only place in Arizona we have found this type of rock formation. These rocks are made up of Granite. When leaving Prescott going to Jerome you round a curve and there they are. You really are amazed at the different scenery you can see around the next bend in the road.
