If you're ever in Prescott, the Sharlot Hall Museum is a must. Prescott was the territorial capital of Arizona and the Sharlot Hall Museum gives you an idea of what Arizona was like around the turn of the century and into the 1920's. Sharlot Hall was a spokes person for the territory in Washington D.C. prior to Arizona becoming a State. The museum also has the territorial "Govenors Mansion". A School house from that era and a great display of original branding irons and ladies side saddles. |
This is the enlisted mens quarters in the "Govenors Mansion". They had all the comforts of "home" when staying here. | As you can see furnishings were limited. This is the "Dining Area" in the Mansion. There wasn't any need for an elaborate setting. |
