For semi-automatic pallet wrapping, a turn table model, (pictured above right) is often sufficient, but for more unstable loads, a rotary-arm model might be preferred. Either can be designed with infeed and discharge conveyors for more automatic operations.

For total pallet enclosure, an automatic stretch hooder, (photo at right) using tubular poly film, is becoming the preferred model of pallet containment, particularly for water-proof, outdoor-stored loads. This system eliminates the need for poly top sheets, and the overall per- pallet-material costs is less than stretch wrap and poly top sheets!
