Sunday School

Would you like to know God better? Our Sunday School meets every Sunday from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m., the same time as the church service, at 115 Concord Street in Nashua--a short walk past Greeley Park towards Merrimack on your right.

We warmly welcome anyone to the age of 20.

In Sunday School we learn how to cope with life's problems--whether they are small, such as finding a child's lost toy, or large, such as choosing a career, college, or marriage partner. We do this by getting an understanding of God, His all-power, and His constant Love for His children--each of us.

Students are taught from the King James Version of the Bible and learn to apply its teachings to their everyday lives. We also work closely with the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.

We learn we can heal as Jesus did. Jesus tells us in the Bible, John 14:12 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father."

We have a healing tree on the wall of our Sunday School which began leafless and is gradually sprouting. Each leaf contains a Sunday School student's healing. Even children only 2-years-old see how God works in their lives. Mrs. Eddy gave specific instructions to the teachers in the our Sunday School regarding what is covered in class: "The first lessons of the children should be the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:3-17), the Lord's Prayer (Matt. 6:9-13) and its Spiritual Interpretation by Mary Baker Eddy, the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5:3-12).

The next lesson consist of such questions and answers as are adapted to a juvenile class, and may be found in the Christian Science Quarterly Lessons, read in Church services." (Church Manual, pp. 62-63).

Students can talk, discuss, question, and really explore the Bible and writing of Mary Baker Eddy. When the student turns 20 and graduates, each will have a good spiritual foundation to help as they journey through life.

We also have a Children's Room for those too young for Sunday School.
