"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others."

A LOT about Moi

What the hell was God thinking when He/She made me?? I expect lightning to hit this page any second now. A psychic summed me up in one word, UNUSUAL. I think that's the polite way of saying, Eccentric and Scary.

What not-so-scary things can I tell you about myself that won't make you feverishly find the "Back" button on your browser? First, you can check out my

BIO

I'm a 2nd-Generation Filipina American balasang. If you understand Ilocano, you know that means "young woman." My father is Ilocano (Pangasinan). Wen! Inararo Taka, Daddy. My mother is Visayan (Iloilo). Ginapalangga Kita, Ma.

My personality type is INFP, which is best explained by the prayer recommended for INFP's:

"God, please help me to finish what I sta

What else? I'm a "switch-hitter," bisexual, and yes, after my 5-year struggle for self-acceptance, the fence feels good!

I graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a B.A. in Ethnic Studies in 1993. I am very proud of my alma mater, as U.S. News & World Report ranked UCSD #6 of all public universities in the United States, and #32 nationally, overall. Not bad for a relatively "young" university. I am eternally grateful to God and my parents for giving me the opportunity to study there. I had a great time. I went to college for a liberal arts education, despite the fact that Ethnic Studies does not cause employers to yell, "Come! Work for us now!" My education serves as a foundation for constructing who I am and who I want to be (a never ending work-in-progress). So, the saying, "The broader the base, the taller the tower," is very true.

Right now, I am temping, still trying to figure out what I am going to do with the rest of my life. Currently, I am doing some technical writng, which, in addition to paying the bills, kills time. I really do live for writing the software manuals no one reads.

Yeah, right.
Anyway, some of the coolest places I have worked include, Novell, (as a receptionist), and UCSF Stanford Healthcare, (as a clinic assistant).

Here's proof of my sick mind, check out my poem:

Club Med for the Head: Before and After

This is about my struggle with depression and a month long stay at a San Diego psychiatric hospital.

Scared?? Don't be. My tendencies are not homicidal. Although, it is rather early in our relationship.
