Moving the Intercooler

A well known problem with the GTiR is that even though the car has a huge intercooler, it's in the wrong place, even though it gets huge amounts of air through the bonnet scoop, the air should really flow through the intercooler. And then there's the other matter of a very hot engine underneath and with the age old tradition of heat rising ,this heat flows straight on to the intercooler, this then causes the intercooler to become inefficient, and power drops, not that noticeable on a standard car but when you're talking heavy brake horse outputs then it really is noticeable.

I've found a lot on this subject on bulletin boards and if you click here you'll see a discussion on the subject.

So one of the favorites is to move the intercooler altogether, I've included some pictures, but I'm going to go into this subject in great detail soon, so if you have any information on the subject email me and I'll use your input.
