This is my website devoted to the best Canadien in the world today, 
Trevor Linden.

Linden was born on April 11, 1970, in the small town of Medicine Hat,
Alberta, Canada. Just like the majority of Albertan boys Trevor
idolized "The Great One" Wayne Gretzky. But the man Trevor
adored more than any other was the Flyers' Bobby Clarke. Following
in his heros' footsteps, Trevor wore the number 16, to pay tribute
to him. The only time the Linden household was quiet was when
Hockey Night in Canada came on the TV set. All the Linden boys,
Trevor, Dean, and Jamie wanted to play in the NHL. But Trevor's real
dream was to play for the Medicine Hat Tigers. Trevor accomplished
this dream and during his very short stay in the WHL, two or three
seasons, he captained the Tigers to back-to-back Memorial Cups. Then
young Trevor was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks, second overall, 
just behind the Minnesota North Stars' number one pick, Michael 
Modano. Trevor almost instantly became the Canucks franchise player.
In the 1991 season he was named captain. Trevor held this honor until
the begining of this season, when while in Tokyo, Japan, he handed
over the title to Mark Messier. Soon after Linden was dealt to the New
York Islander in exchange for McCabe, Bertuzzi and a 3rd round draft
pick. Linden played a season and some in NY was then shipped to the
Montreal Canadiens for a first round draft pick. The other two Linden's
both worked for the Tigers, Jamie played his last year(s) in Medicine 
Hat. While Dean worked for, but never played for the team.
