JOHN FYE June 4, 1890
FYE, Father John Fye, of Adamsburg, Cambria Co Pa. died in the Lord May 4, 1890, aged 77 years 2 months 25 days. Father Fye for about 3 years was just like a child and lately to such an extent had to be fed...sang and prayed constantly. Converted at age 20...class leader...preaching in home 44 years. married 52 years Elizabeth Oyler. 12 children, 5 preceded him. CARNEY OBITS WILLIAM F. CARNEY EXPIRES AT SIDMAN
William Francis Carney, 80, for a number of years engaged in the hotel business at Sidman, died at 12:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, Morgan Carney, Sidman. Born at Munster May 31, 1861,Mr. Carney was a lifelong resident of Cambria County. His first wife, Anne, (Bradley) Carney died in 1897 aqnd his second wife, Mary (Duffy)Carney, passed away in 1917. These sons and daughters survive: Walter and Francis Carney, Detroit; Morgan Carney, Sidman; Alice, widow of Rudolph Schultz, Chicago; Roy Carney, Jackson, Mich., and Anna, Detroit. Adopted children are William Freidhoff and Mary, wife of Glenn Gable, Johnstown, A sister, Mrs. Alice Plunkett of Detroit, also survives. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Dimond Funeral Home, South Fork. |
CARNEY CARNEY-Morgan R., 92, Sidman died MArch 6, 1986, at Richland Manor. Born Feb. 28, 1894, in Ebensburg, son of William and Mary(Bradley)Carney**note this is not correct**Preceded in death by parents;wife,former Olive M. Smay; and a grandson, three brothers and a sister. Survived by these children: Ruth Mary Bowers, Clearwater,Fla.;Dr. Robert W., Atlanta, Ga.; Phyllis Marcine Crum, Sidman; and Mabel Weaver, Hale, Mich.; also 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Brother of Ann Seibel, Dearborn Beach, Fla.Veteran of World War I. Member of St. MIchael POst 551,American Legion. Family will recieve friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Homer J. George Funeral Home, Salix, Where service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Terry Mosholder. Interment, Richland Cemetery. Graveside rite by Americam Legion. |

Preceded in death by parents; brother Austin; and sister Stella. Survived by husband, Morgan, and these children; Phyllis, wife of Harold L. Crum, Sidman R.D.; Mabel, wife of Ray E. Weaver Jr., Westland, MIch.;Ruth, wife of William Bowers, Pennsville, N.J.: and Robert W. married to the former Beverly Cook, Atlanta. Ga.; also 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Sister of Mary Jane Berkey, Johnstown, and Kenneth O. Smay, Shelocta. Family will recieve friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Homer C. George Funeral Home, Salix.
