A Prince, A Princess And A Mighty King!

Let me tell you a story...
a Love story of a prince and a lovely princess who
lived thousands of miles apart, and although neither
knew the other existed, in their hearts they had always
hoped they did...and how a mighty King, the King
and ruler of all that existed, brought them together!

A long time ago in a common land was a young prince
and a young princess who lived at opposite ends of the
land. Even at a young age, the prince had dreamed of
his fair princess but knew not her name nor knew where
he could find her. Sometimes he would go off deep
into the forest and sit for hours with his faithful
companion, a dog named King, and watch the animals
play and run with one another as he dreamed of the day
he too would find his mate and be as happy together
Oh how he longed for that day.

Far away, and across thousands of miles, on the other
side of the land, the fair princess also dreamed of her
prince, and the love and tenderness they would sharebr>together forever. Often she would look up into the
sky and make a wish that the prince of her dreams
would come and sweep her away, but as the years
passed by, the dreams never died nor did the hope of
finding this noble quest for Love...but it was not
just any Love they sought... no, it was the Love,..
the love they had both read about in books and heard
about from story tellers and from songs sung so
sweetly amidst summer days of long ago.

As time grew on, the young prince's heart hungered,
and he decided to seek that which he had dreamed.
He mounted up and began searching in his quest for
the "love of all loves." He searched near and far
but alas it seamed nowhere to be found. Many a fair
maiden did his quest take him to, but after a short
time shared, he realized they indeed were not the one
of his dreams.

One day a war broke out in the land, and the
prince was ordered to fight for his country in a battlefield
far, far away from his land. He did as he was
commanded and served his country well with honor and
without complaint. His father also had been a mighty
soldier, decorated with many medals and honors, and he
wished for his father to be proud of him. When the
war had ended, the prince returned to his homeland
and embraced his father and shared many stories
during battle. He told his father of a great enemy,
an enemy no one could see. An enemy who sought to
destroy him and surely would have, had it not been
for a certain King! A mighty and great King
a King of all that is good... a King of Love never-ending.

Although the King saved the prince's life, the prince
never actually saw the face of this King, he only
saw his mighty hand as he spared the prince's life in
the heat of battle with the 'evil one'
His father began to tell the prince that he too
had seen the King during battle and had never
forgotten that glorious day, nor did the prince
forget his encounter with this mighty and loving King.

The prince now began a new quest, a quest to find the
King who spared his life. He desired to serve this
awesome King all the days of his life and to thank
him face to face. After many days and nights in his search,
exhausted he knelt down beside his bed, looked
up toward the stars and said "Oh Lord, oh mighty
and wonderful King of Kings, I seek to find your face
both day and night, but to no avail.
Please grant me this day, that I may see the face
of whom I seek. That I may know thee and serve thee
for all the days of my life in much gratitude
for what thou has done for me".

The King heard the words of the young prince's plea
and sent a servant from across the land to tell the
prince of his king and to show him the way to his
kingdom,...to be a child of the king and reign with
him forever and ever in his glorious kingdom far
from the land he knew.

The servant crossed the land and told the prince the
way to find the king. The prince followed the directions
given by the servant, and found the King that very night. As he looked
upon the face of the king he saw the Love, the compassion
and gentleness within. More than he had ever
known before and vowed to serve his king
for the rest of his life.

The King and the prince walked each day beside one
another as the king taught the prince a new way of
life, the ways of living gloriously in the land,...
but above all else, the king taught him how to be a
true prince. Finally he sent the young prince back out
into the land he knew, and commanded him to tell all
along the way of the love his king has for his people
and his desire to walk with them as well.

The king watched, as the young prince did as he was
commanded. One evening the king came to the prince
and said. "I have watched you grow within my words.
Now thou art a true prince, go and seek also that
which thine heart desires. Find the princess for which
thou hast dreamed and together ye shall serve me and be happy beyond all your dreams".

Overjoyed, the prince once again began to look for his fair princess. Not long into his search, he came across a fair maiden whom he believed to be the one. She seemed to be all he had hoped and dreamed for and soon they were married. But as the years went on he began to realize this maiden indeed was not the one. They're love soon faded and died before them. They parted ways. Although the prince felt defeated and lost, deep within his spirit he knew that somewhere, somehow, the one whom he so sought was out there. He just knew it. That hope was all he had, he could never give it up or he would truely be lost.

Meanwhile on the farthermost regions of the land, the princess also was seeking her prince, and although many courted her and claimed to be a prince themselves, they soon proved to be mere imposters, only succeeding in breaking the poor princesses heart time after time.

Many years went by but neither the prince nor the princess found the one of their dreams. Countless nights both would look up into the night sky, praying and wishing their quest for "the love of all loves" would come to past, but as the search and the nights began to grow longer, the hope of the love began to grow dim.

Their friends would gather around them and say "Look about you! See what is real! This "dream" you have is truely but a dream! That kind of love does not simply exist! It was merely written by the poets to sell books, and sung by singers to stir hearts... it was never meant to be taken to heart, only a fool such as yourself could believe in such folly!"

Both the prince and the princess could hang their heads and walk away while the crowds continued to mock them. How could they answer back? How could they defend what in their hearts they knew as truth? They themselves had not found such a love in all their years of searching. It appeared maybe the crowds were right, maybe it was just a dream after all. a beautiful dream true, but a dream none the less.

Defeated and alone, the prince and princess, thousands of miles apart, went back to their houses and knelt by the window. Each gazed up at the stars and said "forgive me great King, for I have failed. Many years have now passed, and alas I fear I am of much age now to find that which I once sought so long. For it seems I have been foolish in chasing that which only exists in the minds of men, a rainbow that never flees from my touch. Thou has taught me oh Lord the ways of love and tenderness, thou has shown me the value of these gifts, but alas they seem to be of no great value in this land I walk, there is none free who sees as I see and feels as I feel. I have failed you oh Lord to find such a mate, for they all appeared to be taken. I shall therefore be content to serve thee and thee alone, and know only thine love in my life."

Upon hearing these words, the King knowing their hearts and their commitment to him in spite of the lost of their dreams, summoned all his servants and angels together and said "Here ye all that be under my domain, for now the time has finally come. This prince and princess have learned and suffered much these years, and now I see their hearts are ready to accept the gift I shall place before them. Long have I stayed my hand from the blows of the "evil one", waiting for this very moment to arrive. The time has now come to bring forth the dream of dreams, the love of loves, for all to see. It is time to show all below the true power within me... the power of pure, unconditional and giving love... the kind of love that flows to those who obey and keep their vows to me. For where I am King, so shall I abide, and so shall my power within. Be it known, that on this day it is shown that I abide in their hearts, and in their hearts shall the power of my love exist within them!"

The king reached down his hand from his mighty kingdom and brought their hands together, uniting them as one, saying "Whom I shall bring together, let no man put assunder!"

And they lived happily ever after.....and hereafter as well!

For My Princess! Forever I Will Love you.
